“I was searching chaat shops near me and this lovely restaurant popped up as my first recommendation. We decided to go there, around 1 hour drive with pretty heavy rains. And inspite of being Sunday, restaurant was full. Luckily we got table as soon as we reached. The food was top notch and really quick service. We had pav bhaji-amaazing and good flavours, vada pava- my favourite, mini idli soaked in sambar (8 idlis), papdi chaat and Pani puri (6 pieces- interesting flavours with aloo, some pomegranate tamarind sauce which surprisingly complemented each other tastes) with masala tea and ginger tea. It was definitely worth the drive and effort. Must try if around Manchester area. Will definitely come back to try other dishes in the menu. Reasonably priced- our total was 38 pounds.”

“First time for us at Raj gate celebrating Fathers Day last Sunday. There were 10 of us and we all had the set menu which was excellent value. The food was very tasty and good portion sizes. What let it down was the poor service. It was chaotic with people collecting takeaways and staff running round like headless chickens. We wanted the fathers in our group to feel special but instead we were chasing drinks and it took a good half hour before our food order was taken. Plates weren’t cleared after we’d finished and we were then asked if we were leaving as they needed the table. Maybe when there are special occasions have more staff on and have certain people dealing with takeaways whilst others concentrate on the main restaurant.”

“We decided to visit Sahara on new years eve and despite it being quite busy we were served within 20 minutes of ordering which was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and the whole family really enjoyed the food which was top notch. We will no doubt return in the near future.”

“We thought the starters were great but the mains were OK, mine wasn't what I asked for (Med/hot) came mild which was OK but could have been better, naan great, rice and roti good all in all would probably still go again but would try others around first to see if they were any better as this missed the wow factor for the price you were paying”

“Leaving review not as a customer but a Deliveroo driver - Usually delivery drivers are not treated very nicely unfortunately however my first time collecting food from this place and the member of staff treated me with respect, very kind and polite greeted me with a smile, addressed me by my first name as he could see on his delivery system it would be myself collecting the food to be delivered, he told me to take my time and accept the order when I was ready when usually restraints ask you to accept the order (mark as collected and on the way to customers) whilst the food is still in there hands being packed and he attempted to conversation although I could see he is busy and I was too. If the service is as good as this to a delivery driver then I can't imagine how paying customers are treated and what care goes in to the food. Will definitely be trying the food with friends and family, good service and being kind to people goes a long way, thank you!”

“This place has one of the best Namak Mandi Karahi's in Bolton, the meat was cooked to perfection and tasted absolutely fantastic. We also ordered a mix grill and my favourite was the Lamb Tikka which was the most tender meat I've eaten! Top team of staff and I recommend you bring along the friends and family for a great meal 😋”
