“I have had Simla on my list to visit for sometime but eventually made the visit. We had the Lamb Shank Kashmiri Rogan Josh, which was delicious and melt in the mouth and the chicken Chettinad with a side of the crispy Bhindi dopiaza, veg pulou rice and Peshwari naan. The food was of excellent quality and the service was impeccable. We were served by Abdul who made our experience for New Years Day very memorable. They had made a big effort with the decoration which made the evening even more enjoyable. Thank you!”

“As soon as you walk in there is a lovely atmosphere, the resteraunt itself has a lovely feel to it and the lovely smells instantly hit you. The tables aren't too close together so you don't feel packed in. The staff are great, really attentive and friendly. The food is brilliant, presented beautifully and so tasty. I can't find a fault with the place, cocktails on offer as well 4 for 25 quid and they were lovely. Would definitely recommend. The prices are pretty standard, not too steep, the two of us had cocktails starters and mains and it came in at around £80. We will be going back.”

“Summer visit, late review. I ordered from the early evening menu. All the food was absolutely delicious, probably some of the best Indian food in Newcastle. The staff are lovely as well and are helpful with dietary requirements. Highly recommend the mango lassi as well”

“Recently visited Dosa Cafe in Newcastle and it was a delightful experience. The highlight was undoubtedly the dosa, which was authentically South Indian and transported me back to my favorite flavors. The combination of savoring a dosa with a smooth whiskey in a serene Carnatic music ambiance added a unique twist to the dining experience. The fusion of traditional cuisine with a contemporary setting made for an unforgettable evening. Highly recommend for anyone craving a taste of South India with a modern touch!!! 🙂”

“Coming from a food critic... My First time here tonight, after my partner had raved on about it for months, and we will most definitely be using Gulshan everytime I'm treating myself out to an Indian, the 30 minute drive was worth it... Everything about this place was Absolutely Amazing 👏 ... •On Entry... greeted by the Owner and Staff and taken to our table... we was offered to take a photograph of us all, in this great place they have set up for photos. • The Service.... it was great to see the Owner Working in the Restaurant, Speaking to and Serving Customers, giving you a lovely warm Welcome... I Love this in a Restaurant, it really makes your Experience so much more... other staff all on the ball and service with a Smile which was lovely to see (sadly very rare these days you get this) • The Food.... WOW, we was welcomed with this new starter dish, "Nochadoms" broken Poppadoms with this amazing Chilli Jam, onions and some fried things on top, so Yummy!! Definitely a dish to start with 💯 Then Myself and my Partner both ordered the "Lamb Staff Curry," Me Loving Naga asked for mine Naga Hot and my Partner Madras Hot. Non of this was even questioned, they was more than happy to amend the dishes to our tasting... This was Lush, every bite 🫦 was so good, the Lamb melted off the bone, cooked to perfection 👌 the girls ordered "Chicken Madras" and "Chicken Rogan Josh" the Chappatis were noce and soft, bith rice dishes were lovely and the Garlic Naan was Divine, all absolutely loved our meals 😋 • Drinks... I've had some Strawberry Daiquiri's in my time but never really enjoyed them. Gulshans Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri 🍓 is the best I've ever had and I actually enjoyed every bit of it... my partner got a Pint of Cobra, good cold bubbly Pint, he's and some terrible pints in some places we have visited but these we're spot on 👌 We spoke to the Manager on numerous Occasions throughout the evening, the Manager himself came out singing Happy Birthday to my partners daughter with a Lovely Chocolate Cheese Cake and a lit fountain which was Simply Delicious 😋... Overall what a great Evening, Great Atmosphere, Great Service were the Staff go out of there way to make you feel Welcome ands Happy 🙏 Amazing Food and good prices.... This is a must Indian Restaurant to Visit, doesn't matter how far your coming from you will not be disappointed with Gulshan Tynemouth and the travel will be worth it. A family of 4 all the food we had including alcoholic drinks and pop and came to £129 no service charge, which is great as you get to pick your tips and the staff actually get it , which is always great to know...”

“Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our waitress walked us through the menu and what trays contain what. We really felt looked after! The food came and the presentation was gorgeous, the food looked incredible, having it served on a metal tray almost felt a bit like street food and I loved this. Everything was delicious, so flavourful and a hefty portion! The meat/paneer was cooked beautifully, these guys really know what they're doing! Would definitely recommend and will be back myself!”
