“We did the rice table kuning with a group of 13. We ordered in advance and they were able to take our one vegetarian into account to give them a mini vegetarian rice table. The more simple looking beef dish and the veggie tofu dish were beyond amazing. The beef was cooked to perfection while the tofu salad was so flavorful. Staff were great and desserts were lovely as well. The one thing I will say is that even the “non-spicy” dishes were pretty spicy which two people in the group couldn’t handle. I love the spice however I think to people like them, it makes the night less fulfilling.”

“I live in Hamburg and definitely worth to travel here to fulfill the missing feeling of home/Bali. The food are so authentic, similar taste as like as in Bali, especially with the spices. “There are a lot of good things to say about the place. The staff was great, and i really liked the interior. They also had a cute welcome sign you can see in the pictures. Colins gives you a lovely experience. Sadly the food wasn't really up to par. It is quite expensive while other options in Breda give you not only more, but also cheaper and tastier. I especially wasn't a fan of the shrimps starter. The brownie desert we had tasted good, but i think colins succeeds more as a bar.”

“This gem is hidden in one of the suburbs in Dordrecht. When we entered this place it felt like we were in Indonesia, in a small village family-owned restaurant. So, please don't expect a chic ambiance. You can eat from the buffet or a la carte which I always prefer as I don't eat meat. The vegetarian food tastes authentic, and It remembers me of the food my Ditch Indonesian grandmother made when I was young. A lot of people expect that Indonesian food should contain a lot of sambal (hot peppers), but that is certainly not the way the Dutch-Indonesian kitchen is all about, it's about the variety and the richness of (Eastern) spices. You can always add sambal if you like. So I would definitely recommend this place if you want to eat a good asian meal and want to park in front or very close to this feastaurant, which is very convenient.”

“Stumbled upon the Calaboose as we were going for a walk by Kralingse Bos, lake and forest nearby. Ordered a tasty vegetarian mixed meal for two people, served with delicious jackfruit and tempeh, along with various greens and rice. Was a truly lovely meal, drinks were great too. Staff were welcoming and friendly, the restaurant was a quirky, charming place with a nice outdoor dining area. Highly recommended!”

“Delicious food but slow service! We had a great time celebrating a birthday at this restaurant, we ordered multiple combo menus and got to try many small delicious dishes. Sadly it just took a long time for it to be served, over 40 minutes! And since I know most Indonesian restaurants cook their dishes in batches (as the portions are so small) I had a hard time to understand why it took so long. I do have to say that the staff was very friendly! Definitely try their Rendang and Pisang goreng with Ice cream, they were both delicious. Try this place out if you don't mind waiting a bit longer for your food, it's worth it!”
