“Traditional delights - we were on a tour of the coastline of Belgium and the Netherlands and stopped off in Veere for a bit of sightseeing. After a lovely walk around in the glorious sunshine we thought we’d stop off at Hotel Veere for a quick coffee before setting off to our next destination but it wasn’t long until we were lured in by the menu (which was a real treat to find it written in the local language only) and ordered a spot of lunch. I ordered the meat croquettes, which were delightful. Always wanted to try some local croquettes after hearing a lot about them from friends who are often in The Netherlands. My partner had the asparagus soup and a friend had the burger. All were very pleased with our choices, particularly the soup which was a delight. Fresh light and bursting with flavour. Friendly staff, very clean toilets, and a beautiful outdoor setting all made for a very pleasing lunch stop. Thanks”

“There’s no better location than this hotel for our trip this time around! We were in Venlo for Hofbal 2024 which took place right next door to this hotel. Knowing that our hotel bed was 1 minute away from the party really liberated us! Kkkkkk The room was spacious and clean with all the necessary amenities. The bed was super comfy and I felt I was lying in a cloud. One thing I did not like was the design of the toilet, which left nothing to imagination for your roommate🤣. Luckily we did not have to go number 2 there during our whole stay.”

“Dropped in for breakfast buffet having just arrived from the cross channel ferry on a Sat morning. Breakfast items were fresh, tasty and a mixture of cold and cooked items. Decent quality coffee beans. Staff were super friendly and informal and fed us very well. Lady Improvised to make my son a very excellent hot chocolate. I would like to return to stay here. Great location close to the Stena ferry terminal and nearby to e-car charging points and shops. Hotel has lots of charm and history.”

“Had a high tea here and enjoyed it very much. The location is convenient to reach. Ample and ample parking and also for charging the car. The entrance is very attractive and so are the dining areas. The high Tea was nicely set up with plenty of choices and tea and drinks were replenished each time. Very friendly staff and we enjoyed it very much! The restrooms are very nicely decorated and you can still read some of the history of "van der Valk" in the hallway. The large restaurant also looked very nice.”
