“I stayed here for 1 night in October 2022 and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel was traditional ‘ryokan’ (Japanese style hotel) and everything is being taken care beautifully. The guest room I stayed was newly renovated and the view from my room was amazing. I did not have a private hot spring in my room but still managed to rent one for 45 minutes. We enjoyed a lot! Dinner and breakfast are good as well as the food is in season and was served decently.”

“We took a 2.5hr drive out from Kyoto to this place. Pretty straight forward drive. And totally worth it. We booked the hotel suite with an attached onsen and private dining area. Room is luxuriously comfortable. Dinner is wide spread from aperitif to dessert. Fresh seafood and crab. The onsen is big and comfortable. Looking out to a scenic view. Staff is polite and attentive.”

“This is a review for the yugetsusano (Japanese style) portion of the hotel. First time staying in a tatami style room and was pleasantly surprised by the comfort. The hotel also provides you a yukata to walk around in. There are 3 public onsens on site. Maybe it was the time I went, but I had the entire bath to myself. For foreigners, the staff speaks enough English that your stay won’t be unpleasant or uncomfortable. On downside is the hotel does look a bit dated and could use some renovation in the public areas.”

“Good enough to stay for business for a few days. Close to Sannomiya station (5-7 minutes distance) and conviently surrounded with eateries and izakaya. Complimentary breakfast and drinks (coffee, tea, lemonade) at the Library Cafe by the reception. Automated self check-in and check-out. They changed the room for me when I mentioned of musty smell in the initially assigned room. 10 minute walk to the airport limousine bus station to Kansai airport (2,000 yen one way, 3,000 yen for round trip).”

“Nice staff. Room was spacious and comfortable. We have chairs beside window with a garden view, which is nice. Dinner is in our room. Breakfast is in a hall on 2nd floor. Both are good and yummy. Ryokan guests are provide Onsen Pass that allow us to use all 7 public baths free of charge. In my opinion, "Goshonoyu", which is the closest to Tsutaya, is the best. Ryokan Tsutaya is about 15-minute walk from Kinosaki Onsen Station. If you arrive town after 12.30, there are free shuttle buses that will take you to every ryokans.”
