“Although the service was great and the breakfast was very good I can only give 3 stars to this 4 star hotel. It is in an extremely loud area both inside and out. The front door is flanked on both sides by outdoor seating from different restaurants. The street noise was bad until very late at night. The cleaning crews start yelling by 7 am. Our view was a wall overlooking the awnings of a local restaurant. Over priced and very noisy. If you need to sleep, find a different place.”

“I was honestly very pleased with this hotel. The room was clean, breakfast had everything, and the staff were very nice. One little (short) Italian maid was amazing with my room, I tiped her, and she was so modest about it. The walls are tin, but if your neighbours are polite, you will have no problem at all and sleep well.. And if they are not, you can always call reception and complain (which I did, one night and that was that). It's not far from bigger city attractions by metro and bus - I bought one "ticket for a week", and used it to go anywhere I wanted. The longest ride was an hour to the Vatican by bus, or 30 minutes by metro. I preferred bus, just so I can watch the city as I drove by, but you can use metro if you're in a hurry. You have many nice restaurants in 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. Some great tourist attractions are free, so be sure to check that, and for others buy your ticket in advance so you can save some money, and time waiting in line. “Stayed here 6/2019 beautiful hotel from the outside. Inside needs a much remodel. Room was small decent cleaned. No iron provided unless you request one 🤷🏻‍♀️. Staff didn’t need much from them so can’t say much about the staff. Hotel located close to everything that was a big plus 😊 Restaurant outside the hotel was amazing great food and wine. Italy was amazing and I can’t wait to visit again (Italy that is) hotel would probably try a different hotel.”

“My experience with Hotel San Silvestro was fantastic. I didn't have any plans and was just booking day by day after a walk in, staff were more than accommodating and lovely to interact with. Tried out the single, double & king room across all 3 floors. All rooms were kept to a great standard and facilities were on point. Breakfast option (if you opt for it) was great value with a nice range to serve yourself on the top floor with the option to eat inside or outside on a balcony. Great central location in a nice area. Highly recommend, would absolutely book here again if making another pass through the area.”

“Hotel itself is very nice. At night there are many prostitutes along the road leading to the hotel which doesn't give you a good feeling. Hotel service very friendly and helpful. Room was hot because the ac hadn't been switched over from the winter. Traffic noise is terrible since it's right on a major highway.”

“Had a very friendly staff member. The man with long curly hair (forgot to ask his name) was a great help and spoke/understood English very well. The location lost a star as we were next to an active construction site. The service loses a star because the woman waved off a request on our final morning. Which was rather rude. And 2 stars were lost for the room because 1: The TV didn't work, 2: It didn't have coffee/tea or an iron. Also, the food was okay but the bacon (ham) was greasy. Finally, the room was cosy and the bed was comfy with fresh bed sheets, also the shower was really good had a high pressure whilst being supplied with a lovely scented soap.”

“Comfortable rooms, great food and drink and service. Only drawback was the noise from other rooms. Many people seem to leave between 04:00 and 05:00 and despite warning in English and Chinese to be quiet during nighttime hours, unfortunately it’s the Italian guests who don’t know how to behave. Not the hotel’s fault so 5/5 from me.”

“This place...when we got there, the front desk man was very rude, like it was an inconvenience for us to be checking in. I asked a question,and I seemed to have annoyed him as he was shuffling papers around slamming them on the desk. We got to our room, and I will have to say, it is the first time in my life I stayed in a crooked room. They had molding in the middle of the ceiling that was crooked, because the walls and floor were crooked. I kept banging into the wall. It actually became a joke with us. We had two windows that were covered with film, so u couldn't see out and you also couldn't open the window. We got showers, and the glass wall moved, so the water shot all over the floor. I thought something was wrong, so I went downstairs to tell them, and they said it was normal. They even sent someone up to look. We had towels all over the floor because of the excessive amount but no one cared. The bathroom was small and cramped there was caulk everywhere to help prevent leaks that they said were normal. It was a hot mess. The bed was old and uncomfortable. I was really happy to leave. My husband said the positives were there were no bugs, the AC was cold and he liked the light in the closet. He also liked that there was a great barber shop next door. Oh I almost forgot the planks on the floor were separating. It's a NO for me.”
