“Firstly, I had a prior booking which was cancelled by the owner at the last minute..I was made to stay at another hotel which seemed haunted. When I insisted on being shifted to Amax, it was done 2 days later after much negotiation. This hotel has a basic kitchen and you get basic meals. Lunch is ready by 10 AM and you can have it before going out for your work/ tour and then come back for dinner. The rooms are good, and hot water is available. On demand. TV wasn't functioning in all the 4 days of my stay. The staff is very polite and service is quite fast.”

Rooms are very small, no window, AC's condition is bad, not possible to spend a night in a small room without window, cleanliness was far away. bedsheet and pillows were also looks like not cleaned. bedsheet was having holes.”

“I brought my whole family from the US over to India and we stayed here in Defence Colony as I know the place really well. The rooms were excellent, very cosy and spacious. Had the all the amenities you would need. Breakfast was quite a surprise! They have a very nice little dining area in the basement which a bunch of great options - Eggs, Pancakes, Waffles, Paratha etc. Excellent Coffee! Which for me was a great addition. Service was really good, they come and clean everyday and turn down the beds etc. I think one of the boys who manages the property, Joy, was super helpful and the staff was great. A little expensive but it made the trip for me and my family really convenient and easy. Would recommend.”

“This is not the five-star Shangri-La you think it is. Nor is this a nice budget-hotel. It is a scam. We booked online at the very affordable price, then it took us 30 minutes to find the place. Phone number was out of order. All the pictures are untrue, it is a small place in the back of an alleyway. Very seedy. We arrived without saying we had a booking to see the room, and the host wouldn't even show us a room. When we said we had reservations, he told us that the address and name of the hotel is right, but they don't honor online bookings. I had to call our online reservation company and cancel the booking, which was a hassle. All in all, they try to get travelers to book online by faking the name of the big hotel and using pictures from the big hotel, but if you arrive at the addess, you will find you've been ripped off.”
