Drury Inn & Suites Lafayette, La
4.6
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

120 Alcide Dominique Dr, Lafayette, LA 70506, United States

“Was such a great experience, can’t say enough good things about it. The staff is excellent. Theresa must have a degree in charm, I swear, but everyone I interacted with was friendly, charismatic, and helpful. The breakfast is actually good, with fluffy eggs and tasty sausage. They also have complimentary dinner during a kickback hour that was delicious too. AND the room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Maybe I’m just used to Dallas, but I was amazed at how affordable it was for the amenities. I’m used to the same pricing getting me a small room in a hotel where I don’t trust the elevator. If I am ever in the area again, I WILL be coming back.”

Hampton Inn West Monroe

Closed until 03:00 PM

601 Mane St, West Monroe, LA 71292, United States

“My 7 month old was awoken by the alarm clock in our room that went off at 5am!! Then again at 6am from another room that was not occupied for 2 hours. At 8am the housekeepers were knocking on doors loudly saying “housekeeping” over and over. This was not a restful or relaxing stay after a 9 hour drive. When I brought up these issues to the women working on the front desk, she replied “sorry that happened” and “those dang housekeepers”. What a waste of my Hilton honor points! Disappointing!”

Homewood Suites By Hilton Shreveport

“Arrived after a 14 hour drive. Diamond at the front desk was kind, gracious and hospitable. The double room suite was just what we needed for our large family. It was clean and bright. The hallways are modern and up to date. The rooms could use a bit updating but nothing that affected our stay.”

Hampton Inn New Orleans-st. Charles Ave./garden District

“No Way! We were in town during the Sugar bowl. Stay closer to the French Quarter, or out in the suburbs. This hotel is in a residential neighborhood, not close to anything. If you're thinking of riding the Trolley on St, Charles - good luck. It's crowded and stops way too often. The hotel is overpriced, dated, dirty and the rooms are too small. You have to step outside your room to change your mind. I'm a Diamond Hilton member and I travel for business too. Since COVID 80% of the hotels I used to stay in have cleanliness issues. I'm talking other peoples hair in the bathroom and bedding, stains in the tub, faulty showerheads and mold in the bathroom caulk. This bathroom was tiny, gross and checks all the other boxes too. Then there's breakfast. Mrs. Molasses that runs the food service and her merry elves are incompetent. I realize things were busy with the Sugar bowl in town, but they knew all this in advance and still couldn't figure out the inventory and workflow. Duh. They ran out of food every morning we were there and it took 20 min to re-supply. Then you'd get biscuits, but no gravy, eggs, but no OJ - one morning the biscuits were frozen in the middle, etc... What happens for Mardi Gras? There will be 10 times the people in town for that event, over the Sugar Bowl. This can't be their first rodeo! I realize the service industry continues to suffer from labor shortages since COVID; however, there are hotels (Hilton, Marriott, etc...) out there that succeed at providing awesome customer service. This isn't one of them!”

“We had 2 days post-cruise to look around New Orleans. We did French Quarter before the cruise (not for us) and Garden District after (beautiful area with amazing homes). The outside of the hotel is nothing to get excited about, the lobby …”

Hotel Villa Convento

Closed until 03:00 PM

616 Ursulines Ave, New Orleans, LA 70116, United States

“This place is in a fantastic location. Really close to a lot of great hot spots. The room I had was a little more rustic than I was hoping for. Specifically, the bathroom may be ready for an upgrade. There was also issues with the hot water as there hardly was any. For the price, I was hoping for a little more.”

Hampton Inn Ruston
4.1
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

1315 N Trenton St, Ruston, LA 71270, United States

“This hotel is an older Hampton Inn but was clean and comfortable. Ida at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. We had an issue with the thermostat in the room. It turned out that it needed new batteries and it was resolved quickly. Ida also made an excellent recommendation for us to get dinner. El Jarrito Mexican Grill on Farmerville Hwy was great! The hotel breakfast was excellent. I would stay again”

Sleep Inn Baton Rouge East I-12

10332 Plaza Americana Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, United States

“I use the Choice and Wyndham apps specifically. Long story short… I know the choices I have, and Sleep Inn met my expectations. I arrived last night (11/27/2023) and was greeted by Mike and Sierra… they provided excellent customer service! You should be pleased with them as well. I was able to sleep through the night quietly, and in the morning, there was a nice crew handling their business. Jeet was the person who checked me out and met me with his professional manners and service. Breakfast is the typical eggs, sausage, bread, fruit, pastries, waffle, cereal…etc. my room was clean, as was the outside and inside of the facility. They may be a few strange types staying in places like this (as the price point is low), but I didn’t hear any Riff-Raff or experience Shenanigans. I didn’t smell any strange smells. The lightning (inside and outside) is just fine (unless you like living on a professional baseball field). If you are a smoker or love to smoke pot, then do everyone a favor and keep it way outside. Hopefully, you’ll find this hotel to meet your needs as well. Ignore the bad reviews and be positive.”

Rathbone Mansions
4.2

Closed until 03:00 PM

1244 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA 70116, United States

“What a wonderful hotel! The room was so cozy with adorable antique touches. If you are the type of traveler who likes staying in spots with history, you will love the Rathbone. Other reviewers mentioned issues with their cars, but we were here two nights and had no issues at all. We did bring all our luggage into our rooms and didn’t leave anything visible in the car, but that feels like normal city protection against smash and grabs. Every person we interacted with at the hotel was lovely. They gave us tips on what part of town to visit, which jazz clubs to hang out at, and made us feel right at home. My only complaint is we didn’t stay long enough! See y’all again soon.”

Fairfield Inn & Suites By Marriott Laplace

944 Belle Terre Blvd, Laplace, LA 70068, United States

“My job booked a stay here for me in late November while doing some training, super awesome experience. Whole hotel was clean, spacious and relaxing. My room was beyond what I'd expect. Mel deserves a raise! From the moment I walked in I felt at home. She made me feel like we knew each other from her vibe. I was ashamed to admit I didn't remember her, until i realized she's just being nice lol.”

Melrose Mansion

“December 20-21, 2033||Received a message that our room was ready around 12:00 pm, easy check in. Huge room, high ceilings, window looking over the side street. Parking on Esplanade, right in front of MM....2 blocks to Bourbon Street. …”

Plantation Inn
3.9
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 03:00 PM

1381 W Tunnel Blvd, Houma, LA 70360, United States

“Let me start by saying this is a NO FRILLS place to stay. It is older, the doors face out, and the rooms are just very average. They are clean though. They were changing my shower curtain when I walked into my room. A big group of us go to Houma for Mardi Gras and this is an inexpensive place to stay that has a large courtyard with picnic tables that we all hang out at. Each room has a fridge and a microwave. They have a coffee pod so you can make coffee and they have chairs and a table. There are nicer places to stay in Houma but if you go in with the expectation that this isn't a Hyatt, it is a good place to lay your head and have fun with a group. Ask for a courtyard facing room when checking in.”
