“My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages last week and it was super clean and comfortable. Being it was during the beginning of the off season, we had the indoor pool and hot tub all to ourselves and it was so nice. We loved that it was off the main busy area so it was nice a quiet. The staff are super kind and helpful, as well. If you are a family on a budget, I highly recommend staying here. The prices for entertainment and food in the Dells are outrageous everywhere else, so you might as well save on lodging. Don't let the word "motel" hinder your searching. These small family owned places know how to take care of their visitors! Is it super fancy and updated? No. All you need is a comfortable bed and a clean room at an affordable price, right? This is what you get here. It's perfect! We had a nice, relaxing stay and will definitely stay here the next time we visit.”

“My husband and I traveled from Michigan and stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days. We absolutely loved it here! The historic aspect was what made us choose this hotel, but aside from that everything was great! Employees were pleasant, friendly and helpful, and the breakfast in the mornings were filling and yummy! The location was right down the road from the Fiserv Forum, which was the purpose for our trip this week. We actually were able to walk almost everywhere we went, with the one exception being the train station. The restaurant inside the hotel was really good, and not nearly as expensive as I assumed it would be. The only cons for the restaurant is the service was slow, the menu really didn't have many options, and it closed before we got back to our hotel after the concert, which was a HUGE bummer, as we were starving and ready to drink! Aside from that, our stay here was fantastic! The room was beautiful and included a small kitchenette with a fridge, stove, sink, glassware, and a dishwasher! For being inexpensive this place was AMAZING! Next time we travel to Milwaukee we will definitely be staying here again!”

“This hotel deserves its high rating, and I can honestly give it five stars. The hotel feels and smells new. It's larger than your standard Fairfield and the lobby has a lot more seating. The breakfast offerings included cheese omelettes, bacon, hash browns, waffles and all the regular cereals and yogurts. My room was exceptionally large and very quiet. I left my cell phone charger at my daughter's house and needed one for the morning and the front desk was able to find one I could use. I really appreciate them going the extra mile.”

“Best hotel stay in awhile! Checked in on the app and went right to the room using the virtual room key from the app. No need to stop at the front desk. Hotel was updated, clean, staff were friendly. Even though there was furniture in the halls due to renovations, it didn’t impact our stay. Loved the new soap/lotion dispensers over the sink and in the shower. Reduces waste. The fog-less mirror in the bathroom was very cool. Easy checkout on the app. Will definitely stay here again!”

“I stayed at the hotel on Friday night (Jan 12, 24) due to the major snowstorm. I felt that driving home through the snowstorm after work just posed too many safety risks. I was relieved when they had rooms available for me as a walk in. The room was clean, comfortable and adequately priced for my needs. The breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus and was quite yummy with lots of options to choose from. The lady at the desk was extremely nice and made me feel welcome. I would definitely stay again if the need arose!”

“Our first time staying at a B&B was with Astor House and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Linda and Tom are so warm and welcoming; making sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. As others have mentioned, the breakfasts every morning are incredible (award winning in fact!) and they change every day. I also appreciated how accommodating they were to my dietary needs. We opted to eat in the dining area for most of our trip and it was fun being able to meet other guests as well as hear fun stories Linda and Tom had about the Packers and the local area. There is also the option to have breakfast delivered outside your room which we appreciated when we had an early morning to go ice fishing. The room itself was spacious, clean, and cozy and I took advantage of the ginormous whirlpool bathtub to warm up after a day out in the cold. Overall we would be delighted to return and would highly recommend staying at Astor House, you won’t regret it!”

“I wish I could score a zero!!! When breakfast included is listed as a selling point - and you plan to have breakfast at the hotel, it's incredibly disturbing with what we found. Cold coffee, no waffles, muffins, bagels, yogurt, juice, or fruit. When we asked for fresh coffee, the attendant scoffed. It's his job to make sure the guest experience is optimal! Tables and chairs were dirty, and supplies were lying around. On Saturday, all signs inform that breakfast is until 10 am, but the worker shut it down at 9, so again, we had to go to the gas station for food. When we asked the horrible man at the front desk, he became argumentative and began yelling and cussing (using the F word) with a dining area full of guests and children! He refused to provide the manager's information to resolve the situation. We booked 2 rooms with a pool view and did not get the pool view rooms (yet we paid for it). First time using this hotel for our 10th annual ski trip, and it's the very last! Do NOT stay here!!! DISGUSTING!!”

“My wife and I really enjoyed our first stay is this beautiful old home, and the warm hospitality from the Inn Keepers. Enjoyed the tour and fascinating background of the mansion from Tom, who thoroughly explained how everything worked. We stayed in the very spacious George Suite. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we loved how the room was decorated. The tea service, complementary cookies, wine and beer were nice, and the breakfast outstanding! The finishing touch to such an enjoyable stay was meeting adorable house pup, Ellie, who is so sweet, and loves being petted and belly rubs. We'll be back for sure!”
