“Delightfully renovated mid mid motel. Don’t be swayed by the industrial and liquor store surroundings it is quite safe. Thoughtfully retro decorated and well appointed with all you need for an overnight. Exceptionally loud patrons and guests on karaoke night and loitering in the parking lot. It’s definitely a hip place to be on a Saturday night. Room comes equipped with a sound machine but I recommend earplugs and a eye mask. Clean comfortable bed and easy check in and out.”

“This is a wonderful hotel, especially for the price. All the employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was stocked with everything we needed: toiletries, coffee, complimentary bottled water, an extra blanket and plenty of towels. The beds were reasonably comfortable. The breakfast was adequate, though nothing special. The lobby and breakfast area were clean, attractive and well-maintained. I definitely will stay at this Wingate whenever I'm in the area.”

“First of all, DAVID at the front desk was amazing! Check in with him was so quick, and easy, and he was beyond sweet, upbeat and informative. Through our whole stay he was a ray of sunshine, always the biggest smile and kind words! It was so refreshing, especially since we were there for a funeral, it was nice to have such a positive energy around. I work in hospitality and know how hard it can be to stay positive, but he has it mastered! (Side note, his outfits were always fabulous). The king room with the pullout couch was perfect for my husband and I, and our toddler. Plenty of room for him to run around and not have us stepping on top of eachother. The shower he'd in our room was messed up, but maintenance was there within minutes of our call to the front desk and had it replaced in no time. After that it worked great. All the ladies working breakfast were also amazing. Everything was fresh, clean, well stocked and tasty. Overall good experience and if we find ourselves staying in Orangeburg again, it will be here.”

“Just WOW. Our 2 night stay here was everything I could have hoped it would be and more… I mean who wouldn’t want to stay in a magical historic mansion? I have had Wentworth Mansion on my hotel bucket list for a number of years and could not be happier with our experience. We stayed in room 1, which is a garden room with a cute little outdoor patio. The room was very spacious and felt like we had stepped back in time…but with electricity! We took advantage of the big whirlpool tub both evenings which was a treat. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with lovely linens and great pillows. The room had every amenity we needed, including ice which they filled up each after/evening. Little chocolate/sweets each night in our room, the full complimentary breakfast, afternoon lemonade and incredibly friendly/tending staff made our time memorable! This part of our trip, staying here was worth the extra splurge!”

“I have always felt welcome here. Each staff member has been great, but I have to really single out Lisa and Chance. Chance is SO down to earth and Lisa is happy to address any concerns you have. They both go out of their ways to make sure guests are satisfied. I would give this place 5 stars but I did have to be moved during the middle of my stay (when I was sick and in and out of the hospital no less, not fun) by one of the managers who said the room was booked but another employee confirmed it wasn't. I highly recommend Hampton Inn in Easley if you're in the area for a night or more. Their service is top notch, their breakfast is delicious, and their rooms just got renovated!”

The staff was very kind to provide a packet of toothpaste so my kids, her grandchildren, could brush their teeth. I didn't stay the night, but having worked as an AGM and GM at a hotel and Cabin Resort, the room was clean and they gave my mom, who has mobility issues, a ground floor room. I recommend this hotel.”

“My wife and I had a delightful stay at Indigo Inn in Charleston. We were in town for an overnight Valentine's Day stay and chose the Indigo Inn because it was recommended to us by a friend and we thought the location would be good for our plans. Well, it turned out to be a very good recommendation. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and soon were in our room on the third floor, accessed by an elevator in the lobby of the hotel. The lobby is small, but they take full advantage of all their space with a welcome counter, a seating area, and a counter on which snacks are provided. In the evening the restaurant hosts a wine and cheese tasting located in the lobby and in the morning a continental breakfast is ordered. When we came in from our night on the town we were welcomed back with milk and cookies on the lobby counter. All that adds up to excellent hospitality, a trait that is the premiere feature of the establishment. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming and we had the impression that they really cared about the quality of our stay. Our room was nice, featuring a tall king-sized poster bed, crown molding, a dresser, and a walk in closet. The bed was comfortable, the water was hot, the climate control worked, and the room was clean. On the negative side, the bathroom is a bit cramped, though we appreciated that the toilet and shower were separate from the vanity. The carpet was clean but a little stained from use. The TV is on the small side, but we didn't care since we did not intend on using it. Guest rooms surround a courtyard which is a comfortable space in which to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the surrounding city. It is appointed with several chairs and tables, plants, and a lovely fountain. We had plans to visit several locations in Charleston and were pleased that we could walk to all of them easily. Parking is easily accessible and reasonably priced. All in all, Indigo Inn is a great choice. You can find fancier hotels, and pay fancier prices. But you would be hard pressed to find a hotel with better hospitality and a better location. My wife plans on visiting Charleston in another month with her out-of-state sisters. She already has reservations for Indigo Inn.”

“Odd experience. Almost no contact with the owner/ operator. Showed up early and was told at the gate we couldn't enter until a designated time. Asked if we could sit at the bar and were told it wasn't open yet. It never opened. Thought we were gonna be murdered like in the movies.. Room was absolutely perfect. Every accoutrement was provided. Plenty of coffee, robes, super nice CLEAN shower with endless hot water, Q-tips, cotton balls, muffins...absolutely everything. Would DEFINITELY recommend 👍”

“Our toilet had an issue at 2am on Friday morning. Housekeeping would not fix it. Three grown woman had to use the shower as toilet. Went and spoke in the morning about having it fixed and housekeeping while out for the day. Came back around 3pm, toilet was fixed but not housekeeping. Went to front desk again addressed it. They promised it would be fixed. Came back 7 hours later after eating dinner and exploring room still was not cleaned. Front desk attendant had to clean it at 10:30pm only To find 2 screws in the one bed after sheets came off. Hotel was dirty. Floors looked like they haven’t been cleaned in days. Elevator was not in good condition.”

“Stayed here for a work conference. The hotel is 1.4 miles from the Westin conference center. This facility is currently undergoing renovations and is a little dated and worn. The room was clean and stocked with toiletries. Includes a refrigerator, microwave and one cup coffee maker (not Keurig). The bathroom sink is outside the bathroom so great for multiple guests. The lighting in the sink area was poor. Breakfast was good and even included biscuits and gravy one morning (free). The staff was helpful and friendly. Outside lighting for the non main entrance doors was poor making it difficult to see the caution paint on the sidewalk at night. Overall a good visit.”

“Great location and beautiful property. It is very well maintained. The rooms are spacious and nicer than I imagined. You can walk to so many restaurants and historic locations. Service was really great. Everyone was very nice. I stayed here for 5 days. I really liked the nightcaps set out at night. My only critiques are that the rooms that I stayed (carriage house) had no soundproofing so you could hear conversations in the hallway and the next room. There was enough food at breakfast for you to be full if you order some sides. (It just is not too tasty.) It was nice that you could pick when and where you wanted to eat. Their sister hotel's restaurant Circa is fantastic. You can get a discount if you let them know you are staying here.”
