“Me and my partner had our lunch here at The Mistley Thorn and had a seamless experience. The staff were polite and efficient, our food was a short wait and we weren't disappointed. The Battered Haddock was perfectly cooked, and my Partner's Cold Seafood Platter was also great too. Overall a lovely, well presented restaurant with food and staff that completes the experience. Will definitely be visiting again.”

“Visited last night for a meal with my son, daughter and son in law. Lovely pub with really relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. My daughter and I had the lamb shank which was delicious. We all enjoyed our meals, starters and mains . My son particularly liked the bubble and squeak with Fish and son in law the Sea Bass. We have been here before and will certainly be coming back.”

“It was okay, the fire alarm did go off just past midnight due to some kids coming in and hitting it... and the staff apologised for what had happened and we got free unlimited breakfast which was nice of them. The breakfast had a good range of products and drinks🙂”

“An absolute delight of a visit. The room was small but cozy. Felt newly renovated. Very clean overall, big and soft bed, with all amenities you might need. And of course, very nice personnel especially at breakfast! We will most likely come back if we visit saffron Walden again.”

Had a great time, all the staff were friendly and helpful, food was good in both the clubhouse for lunch and breakfast and the dinner party food and service was very good (very well decorated function room), the rooms were clean and modern.
