“Currently staying here for our wedding weekend. We had a rather large booking for food last night before the big day. The food and service was amazing! We’d been given our own room which was great for everyone to be able to talk to each other and hear all conversations away from other tables in the restaurant. Can’t thank the staff enough for how the night went. They checked on us between courses to ensure the night was going well. I’m sure they would have been very accommodating had a problem occurred but everything was perfect! Just to add the rooms are incredible. Extremely clean, little extras in the room are a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend and stay here again if we have another event or just want a weekend away. Thank you all again.”

“We have just returned after coming for lunch today. We were warmly greeted by a very lovely member of staff who made sure we were happily seated. Although there wasn't a kids menu there was a couple of off menu options that the chef was happy to prepare for the kids. Myself and the other 3 adults that were part of our group thoroughly enjoyed our food. It was freshly cooked, full of flavour and the portions were incredible. I highly recommend the Steak and Kidney pudding , it was beautiful. Desserts were beautiful too. I look forward to coming again to try some of the fantastic food on offer.”

“I was a guest at a wedding last weekend. Beautiful grounds and lovely picturesque building. The bedrooms were nice and spacious, lovely firm mattress! The food for the wedding was brilliant and a good selection for breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly for the whole visit, the gardens were beautiful and there was plenty of garden games for the kids too! The only downside was a small carpark but there was alot of guests. We were recommended the afternoon tea many times so we will be back to try that soon!”

“Enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay and had dinner the first night. Rooms decorated nicely, huge bed and all the utilities you would ever need - cookies in the room were a lovely touch. Breakfast options brilliant and very tasty. Dinner was delicious as were the cocktails / drinks. Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly and attentive service. Also very dog friendly - our dog absolutely loved his mini-break. Even got to meet the pub dog which made his day!”

“Our second time visiting and can definitely say that this pub is an excellent find. The Sunday Lunch is truly delicious and the chef definitely knows how to a roast beef joint! The potatoes are also good, they are generous with the gravy and the fresh hot seasonal vegetables to share are perfectly cooked. The gentleman serving at the bar is charming and the young lad doing the waiting is clearly following in his footsteps. We'll be back!”
