Please ask people if they want cheese and sour cream although if I was vegan I'd expect the vegan versions. Plenty of non meat options though so better than most. Will definitely come again. “This is a must visit when in Somerset. I booked a room for my sister and her family. It's high end, clean, spacious. My sister said they received the warmest welcome and were immediately made to feel at home. We booked in for a meal for 11. It was absolutely fantastic. The service was great, wonderful atmosphere, lively venue but it was intimate and quiet. We really loved every part of our stay. Thanks Maddie and the team.”

“This was our second visit the The Castle Hotel . Once again we were very ably looked after by John and Lisa . Our room suited our needs exactly , even a bit of a sea view !!! . If you are staying on a Sunday or a Monday , you really should book to dine there on the evening . Wholesome Sunday dinner style meals , excellent value for money . Walk Dunster if you want. Pay twice as much in one of those very posh places if you want . But better The Castle Hotel meals you will not . Once again , my wife and I were treated like old friends , but still with the professionalism,courtesy, and respect I'd expect as a paying customer. A wonderful venue for a short break . “I visit The Crown every other Friday for coffee and lunch and also work from there. I have always found the staff incredibly welcoming and friendly. There are lots of lovely locals who frequent the bar and restaurant. The food is exceptional and very different to anything else on offer in similar venues. I would thoroughly recommend anything on the tapas menu and also the rice dish served in a pineapple half. Well worth a visit!”

“We stayed overnight for a family funeral and were pleasantly surprised by the generous size of the room, which had been kindly upgraded. It had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable . The staff were all very warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had the wake there and they put on a decent spread with delicious homemade cakes and homemade quiches made by Meg, who organised everything with care . It's the perfect size for an intimate occasion. The location is about a 20 minute walk to the centre of Yeovil , which suited us as it was 5 mins drive to the crematorium. We'd definitely stay here again !”

“We came to The George last night for a birthday meal. The pub is lovely, the food is first rate but unfortunately the staff let it down! We felt rushed and an inconvenience! One of the waitresses nearly broke the bottle of wine as she slammed it onto our table! and the other waitress was just rude… we said we weren’t quite ready to order but were told, you need to order now!! We appreciate that it’s a busy time of year but it doesn’t hurt to crack a smile!! So anyway, we’ll be heading to The Swan next time, as we’d rather pay double the price and actually feel welcome!”
