“I’ve only been twice - on the first visit we were called into the room in a very rude manner, making my daughter feel nervous. This was heartbreaking as she absolutely adores doctors and is always so good for them. Next visit, the doctor was again quite abrupt with her tone, not making my daughter feel calm or safe when examining her. Will absolutely not go back - the doctor may be well educated and know their stuff, but for us, the pastoral care was lacking. The receptionist doesn’t return calls or follow up with letters being faxed through when she says she will and she struggles to understand my questions.”

“I’ve had plenty bad experiences here During my initial visit to Yarra Medical with flu symptoms, I called the secretary to book an appointment for a sore throat. Unfortunately, she didn't mention the restriction on entering the clinic with flu symptoms. Upon arrival, the secretary on shift informed me of this oversight, which could have been avoided with proper communication. In my second experience with Dr. Edward Skinner, I sought help for severe pain. However, his rough approach and lack of sympathy during the brief five-minute consultation left me dissatisfied. He provided no explanation for the pain and simply stated that it would pass on its own. My third experience was with a female doctor who took skin samples, sent them for testing, and prescribed medication. The subsequent appointment for discussing test results was scheduled via phone. However, when the clinic called with the results, a different male doctor conveyed them. This posed an issue as the condition diagnosed by the female doctor turned out negative. The male doctor, having not seen the skin condition, couldn't offer assistance. Despite the unhelpful appointment, I had to pay. Upon booking another session with the female doctor, she provided minimal help, advising me to return only if the skin condition resurfaced and at the very least said she would not charge me for the appointment. You would think that as health professionals they would aim to treat patients better, with more care and attentiveness. However that was not the case for me at all.”

The staff are awesome, at the reception you will be greeted with a smile and politeness. Then the Asian lady who took my pelvic and abdominal ultrasound was very thorough and I am very impress! She didn’t rush the procedure and every single part that needs to be scan was scanned plus she’s caring. The gentlemen from the pathology Mitch who took my blood sample is one of a kind his also gentle he made me feel comfortable and even used a small needle to extract my blood. I was just observing and looking at the staff while I was there and they handle each of their patients with care and they spoke to them gently. It feels like this people love what they’re doing and this is one thing most other clinic doesn’t have the care, empathy and respect. One things for sure that every time I have tests that needs to be done I will definitely travel to see Wise Specialist Emergency Macquarie clinic their worth travelling.”

“Dromana Family Doctors a friendly local clinic I've personally gone to for over 20 years , had a few different GPs along the way and all have been helpful and understanding. The girls at reception are also very nice and when my little dog was alive they would take him behind the counter and spoil him when I was seeing the doctors. Recent business practice changes and the cessation of Bulk Billing has had an impact on the patients specially the elderly who struggle to get by as is. So apart from that yeah there pretty good.”
