“Aldi is a unique store. Like their small footprint which makes it an easy in and out shopping experience. Store is clean and isles are wide. Pricing is good. Some quirks that are not easy to get used to: - Shopping cart rental system. And no hand baskets? - At the checkout if you don not ask for a bag/bags you will not get any.”

“Been going here for some 15 years. Recently they seem to have had a lot of issues with meats sold past their expiration date. Yesterday the issue was a canned product—a Rao spaghetti sauce that I’d purchased just the day before—whose lid was not under pressure. I returned it intact and asked for a refund ($9.99) or exchange. They refused as I couldn’t present a receipt. I suppose the implication is that customers are trying to commit fraud… But, really, $10?! I must be spending close to $3-400 in there a week. Is that really a smart business decision on their part? It’s not as if we don’t have a couple of other nearby options.”
