“Drinks, dinner and decor! The atmosphere is always wonderful and the liveliness is invigorating. As for food and drinks, always a hit. The specials as well as the staples are great. On the New Year’s Eve, we decided on a Christmas martini, bourbon ale and French onion soup to start. The soup!!! Wow, perfect crunch to the cheese, onions were fresh and bread on point. Dinner, blackened chicken chop chop salad Chicken Murphy The taste….phenomenal The portion….perfect The flavors….wonderful. Always a great time here. Happy new year”

“Stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon. Had not been before. We started off with some soup. I had the potato leek and the wife had the broccoli and cheese. Both were very good. The leek was not overbearing. Next we tried the boom boom shrimp. It was fried shrimp with a nice sauce. Not the best I've ever had but pretty darn good. For our entrees, we had the steak boxty and the seafood boxty. The wife loved her steak and the seafood was pretty good. I would have liked the potato pancake to be cooked just a bit more. For dessert we had the bread pudding. It was said to be made at the restaurant. I was a bit disappointed. The top was cold and the bottom was like warm. It's consistency was a bit on the soggy side. Not my favorite. Service was very good. Jillian was our server. She was very friendly and attentive. She made the experience very pleasant.”

Very weird bathroom placement; right behind hostess station. Only two stalls for entire restaurant. Not at all wheelchair friendly. Salmon made my stomach a bit queasy for remainder of day.”

“A nice slice of England in Eagan Minnesota. This is a pub in the best sense: it’s a great place to meet friends and enjoy good food and good drink. The bangers and mash are excellent, as are the pasties and the fish and chips. Everything we’ve tried on the menu has been delicious. They have fun specials like whiskey, Wednesday, among others. They frequently host live music at night and rugby games during the World Cup.”

“Omg they have the spot dressed up with Christmas. The atmosphere was very inviting. We sat at the bar. Bar tender was super busy but attentive. Great conversation with strangers. Good food. “Loved everything about this place. It was a beautiful night so I sat outside. The service was excellent and everyone I interacted with was super friendly. The Eggplant tower was delicious and a great presentation. I had a cheeseburger which was cooked perfectly and really flavorful. (I was too hungry to take a picture of it). They have a good selection of draft and bottled beer, and their cocktails are great (strong, tasty, and a good price). All in all a great dinner and I will definitely return here again!”

“One of the best meals I've had in a while. We started with the sauteed mushrooms. Best ever! They came in a light and delicious sauce with cheese and croutons. My entree was the short rib dinner with mashed potatoes and root vegetables. Delish! My friend had fish and chips and really enjoyed it. Sarah was our waitress. She's been there five years, knows the menu, best service, and is completely charming.”

The food.....reasonable prices and the food is ok. The wings were good (middle of the pack) compared to others that I've had. I had the steak sandwich and the meat was done to order, and was decent quality. The big issue was the frozen French fries. They were underdone and not much taste. But there was a lot of them! Nothing to deter me from going back, I would just try different things on the menu on our next visit.”

While the garlic aioli was very good, and had a lot of garlic, the chicken was rather dry. Additionally, the breading on the chicken tasted unusual to me, and was not particularly good.”

“I went in pretty late (for food). The bar across my alley, the Irish punt, had closed their kitchen at 8 so they sent me to the the shilling. The shilling closes their kitchen at 10pm. The Irish punt highly recommended the shilling and I was not disappointed. The snack I had was served quickly and with a smile. Colum at the bar was really helpful. I’ll be back. I can’t wait to try their other food, which all looks delicious”

“First time at the Rivalry on a Wednesday night with very few customers. My wife ordered a plain burger medium, which came out very pink, after the waitress said the kitchen had to redue the burger because they put cheese on it. We explained up front that my wife is gluten and dairy intolerant. Then they brought out my filet mignon without my wife’s food. I tested the mashed potatoes and they were cold and told the waitress, besides the meat looked well over done, past medium rare. When they brought our food at the same time, they didn’t bring my wife’s asparagus, so she had to wait for that. The burger was sitting on her plate by itself, with three quarters of the plate bare. The presentations leave a lot to be desired. No garnishes, nothing! I found the menu to be very ambitious and would be hesitant to order more complicated dishes, since they can’t get a burger or steak correctly served. I’m not sure that we shall return to this restaurant, which is a shame, since Antioch is in dire need of a good restaurant. One of their many problems is they send out food on cold plates, then carry it across a long dinning room to chill the food even more. Any good chef knows that food should be served hot, apparently there is no chef there only fast order cooks. I wonder what do they do when it’s busy on the weekends? If you look at the pictures here, you’ll see what the presentation is lacking. I was told there is a new chef there, but I really couldn’t tell that there was one on staff. I am not sure what the owner wants this to be? Is it another bar and grill, is it supposed to be upscale? With the menu priced the way it is and the selection of food, I don’t think this place will make it. The general feel of it is large and cold with very uncomfortable chairs. They have metal chairs with small seats, which are meant to move you out sooner, like the fast food restaurants do. Before you go, look 👀 below ⬇️ and hit the thumbs 👍 up.”
