Cosy and friendly atmosphere, owner and personnel are polite and professional. Best steaks in the wide area. Menu offer is wide and interesting, mostly local traditional food. Wine list is really good. Beside meat (steaks) I would recommend their soups (especially pumpkin and boletus/porcini soup), boletus and chesnut risotto, and strudels made of seasonal fruits.”

“We visited as a family with the intention to try the 5 courses menu. The menu was a mix between traditional local cuisine, modern elements, and a personal touch by the chef. It was well put together with attention to the details and high quality ingredients. The service was good, friendly, and professional. The prices are fair. Nothing on the menu is overpriced. I'll be visiting again. Visited few moths later quality was still the same. The service has improved. The atmosphere has improved as well - we had live piano music. The prices have changed, compared to other countries, and even to other restaurants in town, Il Ponte is still surprisingly inexpensive. One must not forget following facts: educated waiters, regional and organic products, wild caught fish, modern and still authentic culinary creations, and a Michelin Start. The beef tartar was heavenly, the lobster with homemade pasta was fantastic. Everything else was great.”

“Bicko is the hidden gem of Zagreb dining, and its fame and reputation spreads mainly mouth to mouth. The menu is distinctly carnivorous, but serving ingredients of top quality, like suckling pigs and lamb, capon (aka young roosters) roasted under the bell (peka) or cooked with vegetables the dalmatian way (lešo). There are some fish and seafood dishes, but I have not tried them. Once in a blue moon Bicko has special events, like serving a bunch of offal based dishes, like tripe. To be honest, I was so enchanted with the menu I don't even remember the wine list”

“You literally have to walk on a beaten path to get to this place. Eating inside has an entirely different feel than eating outside. Your call on what works for you. We ate inside with white table cloths. There are some goods and greats about this place. The service was good, but we got rushed and then ignored. The menu is good so long as they can get fresh fish for all the menu items. 2 of our first choices were not available. The wine list was very good and the food was great. If you like spice, the spices shrimp stands up to its name. And if you like truffles, so does the truffle ravioli. The waiter was ver knowledgeable but seemed very busy all night.”

“This restaurant is located inside the hotel after passing the bar. The servers were very attentive and explained each dish that was served. By chance, this saved me because I forgot to notify them (and I was not asked) that I was allergic to peanuts. The atmosphere was intimate and classy. Dinner was served under the flickering candle light with fresh roses on the white tablecloth table. Perfect place for a date night. They had a extensive wine list, with a sommelier on staff to help if needed. I had the fish and beef steak, both were delicious!”

“A great restaurant where you can eat local foods, with a very nice waiter and good food (also, be aware that they have big portions). We ate black risotto (with cuttlefish) and homemade cevapcici, and they also served us with homemade bread. This place was a very nice surprise for us, they have a beautiful garden with olive trees. I totally recommend this place, as they are close to the city centre and you have good value for money for what you are eating. We payed 40€ for the 2 main dishes, a beer and a glass of white wine.”

“Don't look at the menu, order the ravioli gamberi tartuffo. I had an excellent fresh sliced carpaccio. My son an excellent grilled steak. The gnocchi with goulash from my wife was also recommendable. Also the cocquilles st jaques grilled were spot on. But... I had the homemade ravioli with cheese filling, with a small shrimp cream sauce, generously covered in rasped Black truffle. I made a new reservation on the spot for a few days later. Need, not must have but need, to have this again during this holiday. What a dish! Nice rose as well. Only down side was that the view was gone and you had to look at a half built hotel of a few levels high instead of a nice sea view.”

“Really delicious gourmet experience. Only one observation/tip: it would be nice to have more flexibility in terms of substituting a dish in the 7 course menu in case of allergy. Also, if this is the only solution it would be nice to give pre dessert and pre entree (as attention towards the clients, in particular when they order unique wines). The Apple dessert was spectacular!! Highly recommend”
