“Overall, had a positive first experience with fado and glad I tried it once. On the restaurant side, the food is ehh but way more expensive than any other restaurant I went to in Portugal. I do get that you are paying for the experience, atmosphere, and the music, so I get the premium. But at the same time, I have higher standards and this was nothing that special. Some of the entries like the mushroom soup I didn’t even like. Also, the service was very slow and I had to ask several times about the status of my wine order. On the music side, the acts were great and I could really hear the passion in all the singers and the musicians. The fado music was beautiful, although it was annoying that people kept trying to record (which was distracting even though the waiters tried their best to stop the recording). So it was nice, but too pricey to go back a second time”

“Zunzum Gastrobar is excellent! I went there with my family for dinner during the week. The service: our server was terrific; he explained everything about the drinks to my in-laws and ensured they would choose a drink they liked. Since the restaurant was quite empty (it was a Tuesday night), the server also explained to us how the stations in the kitchen work. He was very knowledgeable in explaining the ingredients, processes in the kitchen, and how the flavor would turn out. The food: we got the tasting menu, and it was delicious; all the dishes were very flavourful, my favorite was the cilantro rice! Atmosphere: Modern concept, large room, and plenty of space. I can’t wait to come back and come here again!”

“You wouldn't believe in the care and quality service of this restaurant until you visit it!I went to dinner at Matiz in a very rainy day in Lisbon and arrived almost one hour late to my reservation. On arrival and expecting not to have my reservation held I was greeted with a smile by Victor that told us in the most empathetic way possible that days like those the traffic is chaotic. During the meal we had the pleasure to meet the creators of the amazing food we had such as Daniel, Gonçalo and Andreia.”
