“I would go again here. I came in during a busy night. It was just the chef and the waiter and the place was almost full. They both did an excellent job. “Not a mediocre 3 but short of 4. I really enjoyed the old decor and ambience. The service was impeccable and friendly, but I really expected more from the food. Nothing really impressed me and that’s not even considering the price. The Turbot was a little hard, the squab was quite unbalanced and the Turnedo didn’t have truffles and just a small piece of Foie. The best: the Flan!”

“Great Italian vibe. Pizza is tasty thin based, which was really nice. Probably not the most generous with toppings but stil was good. Service was oky, quite a bit of a language barrier between the Spanish speaking waiters but all in all, great. Would go again. Prices are okyish”

“I seated at the bar and was amazingly served by Arnau, which gave excellent recommendations from the menu. Had a great vermouth to pair the tasting. The salmorejo was excellent, but the surf & turf dish (pork foot with shrimp) was superb. The dessert really surprised me - pumpkin presented in many textures, very flavorful. Definitely recommend it.”

“This was a fabulous find! We started with a bottle of Sirah and the Donizetti salad, which was fresh and shareable. For entrees, we ordered the gnocchi al pesto y mascarpone and the spaghetti bolognese. They were both bursting with flavor. While they were sufficient portions, I didn’t want them to end - they were that good! We finished with the very best tiramisu I’ve ever eaten, and a wonderful pistachio and cream for dessert. It’s a good thing I don’t live n Barcelona, or I’d over indulge here every day! This place is small, and there was one waitress, and she was lovely. While she was busy, we never felt neglected. I recommend Donizetti's whole heartedly!”

“The food was quite tasty but very expensive for the small portion. I expected more from a 17 euro dish. It seems like they are positioning themselves as an elite high end restaurant but while the food is good, it’s not great. After spending 50 euro there, we had to go to a local sandwich place to finish eating a proper dinner. My advice, eat before having dinner here and close your eyes when paying the bill.”

“It was one of the best pizzas I have had. So if you do take away this might be it.10/10 for the food. When it comes to the service, you will feel like you are in the way and almost ashamed of distrubing the staff. The waiter we had prompted us to change the table to the neighbouring one. Otherwise, he would refuse service. The tables were same size... so why not just move the chairs?! 🤦 the "4 person" table was empty the whole time of our stay. We told the manager about the service, and first, he did say he did not have bad service, but somehow, the message was received, we believe, and hope. And for this reason, it will get 2 stars instead of one. We had several other guests telling us the same thing, and just a shame that they did not tell this to the management. So go here if you really want a good pizza but don't care about the arrogant and bad service.”

“For a taste of Italy visit this restaurant. The food is excellent and is authentic Italian cuisine. Try their house pizza it is made with care and is perfect although more than one can eat in one sitting and you will find yourself taking some home to finish later the pastas were perfect sizes with classic Italian recipies. The atmosphere is perfect with soft music and guests enjoying the food complimented by perfect wines, beer and sparkling Italian wines and delicious red wines.”

“Very good food, beef cheek, steak tartar is perfect, unique. Service is boring, has no style, waiters don’t speak English. The maitre d’ was the best, the rest is not up to the quality of the place. The design of the restaurant is not classic not modern, simply outdated. At the beginning we got a slice of bread with nothing. I recognised later the next table got oil and butter as well…. When we left the waiter was running to help someone with his coat, he pushed me aside…. Maybe a more important guest? Just some small examples of how they care…. And it is the most expensive restaurant in town…. So needs improvement, it may work in high season, but this should be the time for making loyal customers….”

“My room was clean. It's really spacious, but the basin in toilet is unnecessarily large. There was no paper tissue, toilet brush, and no complementary lotion. The water pressure in the shower is also very low. The breakfast is not buffee which is odd and you should choose from three full breakfast options or start ordering items one by one. The breakfast is also from 7 which could be quite late depending on when you need to be somewhere after that.”
