“My rate 4/5. It's a small but cozy restaurant. It made me feel like having a meal in a typical Dutch house: from chairs, glasses to plates. They were so cute, vintage and so Dutch. * Food: although they add some Asian ingredients to their menu but it's still very Dutch to me. We ordered Bordje doe maar lekker, bigbanger burger and bavette. The starter was ok. Not bad but not impressed. Bigbanger burger was ok too. The burger was a bit dry but could be fixed. Bavette steak was well cooked as requested: medium rare. Soft and juicy. However, chili oil was not matching with the dish. If the restaurant would like to add some spicy tastes please consider something else. Because the bavette steak was seasoning with sea salt, then the chili oil was also salty so together they made the dish too salty. Mashed potatoes also couldn't go well with chili oil with peanut. For me, it's totally failed. * Service: nice, kind and charming. No complaints. *Price: its reasonable, not so crazy expensive and the quality was decent too. The portions were fine. In general, I think it's a lovely restaurant to visit if you are in Alkmaar!”

“Great pizza and wide range of wines! I had the burrata as a starter and the pizza margarita as the main. Both tasted really great, the pizza dough is super fluffy and tasty. The Tiramisu as dessert was a great finish. Can only recommend!”

“We went here for a valentines dinner with a few friends. Quite a unique idea to serve tapas. This is an eat as much as you can menu. There is a large selection of foodstuf and they are all good. Booking essential. The atmosphere is one of an upper class restaurant. Nice decor and seating. Noice levels are good and you can enjoy a conversation.”

“Very tasty pasta with many crestive dishes! :) we were on dinner for 2x and ordered 3x of them, with the one serving as an appetizer - Total Costa = 90EUR (incl. 2x glasses of wine + 1x dessert) What we liked: pasta was perfectly cooked, sauce taste as well, creativity of dishes is a plus What can be improved: 1) portion of pasta shall be bigger given the prices (nevertheless the amount of sauce was good-enough :) ) and 2) lava cake is very small for its price and nothing special overall Overall: Would come back to try further pasta dishes - a bit overpriced therefore 4x stars”

“I can recommend the place! We’ve been here with group of 8 people, tried pizzas, pasta and steak. All was delicious, but what positively surprised me was their steak. It’s quite hard to find good steak in Amsterdam, especially for good price. And here I’ve finally managed to get one, well done:) (a joke, always go for a medium one:) Wine is mediocre, but at least not too expensive. What could be improved is waiting times, but overall service was good.”

“I’ve been there together with the group, and maybe the group menu was the issue, but I didn’t enjoy neither food nor the atmosphere. We’ve got a table on the -1 floor in the tiny room just next to the open kitchen: not the best place to relax. Food was mainly mediocre. Steak was to chewy and fatty, soups (both vegetarian and crab) were watery, dessert was ok but presentation was bad. I only liked gnocchi, but they were not classic gnocchi (fried) No, I can’t recommend the place.”

A disappointment arose when our request for proper wine glasses was denied, despite other tables having them. Overall, a good experience with highlights, but the mismatched wine service detracted from an otherwise promising culinary journey.”

“Restaurant completely empty inside an outside and not a single hint that was showing the tables were reserved, we asked for place for 2 people and they said they couldn't serve us. Just to have a little of fun we then moved to a nearby restaurant and stayed there for almost an hour, the Dilano restaurant was still empty after that time.”
