“1000/10 I breathe and live for pasta so trust me when I say this place serves one of the best Carbonara!!!! And that tiramisu, oh lord….just HEAVENLY. Also, we were served by some of the sweetest waiters and waitresses. So food was 10/10 and service was also 10/10. I would visit here every day if I could, sucks I live in Sydney. Also, I was very sad to hear that they didn’t offer ravioli here! So, chefs of Cugini, if you’re reading this, please add ravioli to the menu so future ravioli connoisseurs like myself can enjoy!”

“I don't often start a review talking about the dessert, but if it's still on the menu and you enjoy a lusciously decadent end to your meal, the first thing you need to order is the parfait with grilled pineapple and ginger and lime gel. An exquisite end to a wonderful meal. The menu offers a two or three course option at set price - great value given the quality of the food, the excellent service and beautiful location. One of our party started with a half dozen local oysters (at additional cost to the set menu), which he said were amazing. The two entrees ordered were the octopus and the ocean trout - again, declared amazing. For mains we had the lamb and the pork collar - both amazing (yes, there is a theme here) with the pork a particularly generous serve. Flavours and presentation across the board were (you guessed it) amazing. We had one gluten and dairy intolerant and one seafood intolerant at the table, both were easily catered for (this had been noted in the booking but oddly, wasn't conveyed to our server - unusual for a fine dining restaurant - however she made sure to accommodate each of us). The wines were all Josef Chromy (naturally) and excellent. Note that if you want to do a wine tasting prior to or after your meal you need to allocate at least 30 minutes as they have set wine flights (at a cost) rather than individual tastings. Do make sure you book as it got very busy (we were there on a Thursday in early January). Food amazing, service and wines both excellent, good value for money. Recommended!”

“Food is delicious. Variety of pizza and pastas. A medium sized pasta or pizza can easily be shared by two. Seating available on lower and upper level. Not a budget restaurant. If going as a group booking a table would be good. Unfortunately some Italian wine/liqueur that we wanted to try was unavailable.”

“Travelling in Tasmania.. We needed a light dinner and drinks. We shared a Diavolo pizza and had a couple of beers. Now we are used to impressive woodfired oven pizza in Melbourne, but this pizza rates as the best cooked pizza I've ever had! Super thin and super crispy base... no soggy bottom!! PS Diavolo was super spicy, but we like it like that!”

“Brilliant! We loved our dinner here! We were lucky to get a last minute booking whilst passing through Hobart - so glad we did! The restaurant has a great vibe, small and intimate. And the staff were so welcoming and helpful (even gave us tips for where to go on our trip!). My dietary requirements were accommodated without a fuss and all the food was delicious. Great value and wonderful all round experience - highly recommend!”

“What a great experience! Managed to snag a last minute booking on a Friday night. And what a great place! The tasting menu was full of local ingredients, tastefully done with an Italian spin on it. We literally licked our plates clean! There were at least 10 courses, each better than the last. Favourite was the gazpacho and the venison. The service was attentive but not too attentive, wine list was extensive and had something for everyone. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve ever had, and definitely recommend!”

“Experience, met with a smile, nice table and view, efficient order of drinks, not rushed for order, entrèe was good(Gravalax and cheese sticks), Mains were asked when we wanted them, scallopini and slow roasted lamb. Justwas great, meat tender and my wife loved her veal. Next time a Main and a Dessert. Price was great for level of Service, Food Quality and Atmoshere. Book, it was busy. We will be back, burp!”
