“From the outside you wouldn't guess that it is so atmospheric on the inside. Beautifully decorated, attentive staff who immediately welcome you upon entering. Ordered 3 courses menu, salmon-meat(pork and beef)-brownie with ice cream which is fantastic combination. They made my christmas day! Old and sentimental mood which has kept in heritage things. In addition, food and wine pairing, staffs all nice and friendly. Was looking for Michelin star restaurants but it was not easy to find booking available. In spite of all my difficulties, it was the right choice to visit Poppe.”

“The best pizzas in Enschede! We used to live nearby and Punto Pasta pizzas would be our no. 1 choice for a takeaway. Lovely crispy bases with generous toppings. We stopped by last week on a spur of the moment visit. Service was friendly and swift. I had pan-fried chicken with some roasted veg which was surprisingly tasty. The chips were not the best, but perfectly acceptable. Other dishes ordered were the schnitzel, and two pizzas which were excellent.”

“It took a while for the cook to arrive at the plate. Then it took more time as others got their food. The food was quite ok but was sometimes overcooked. the pork was too salty unfortunately. Then we got a really long break before a new chef made the last two dishes. we sat from 18:30 until 21:45 which was far too long. If it was done in 2 hours the score would have been much higher.”

“I recently had the opportunity to dine at restaurant and I must say, it was quite an interesting experience. The first thing that caught my attention was the fact that the menu was only available in the local language. As someone who doesn't speak the language, it was a bit challenging to understand what each dish was. Unfortunately, the customer service staff were unable to explain the menu to us in English as they did not speak the language. However, despite the language barrier, they were young and friendly, making an effort to assist us as best they could. Now, let's talk about the food. The dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious and well-prepared. The flavors were rich and the presentation was impressive. However, there was one minor drawback for us - everything seemed to be a bit too sweet. While some people may enjoy this, it was a personal preference that didn't quite align with our taste buds. Overall, despite the language barrier and the sweetness of the dishes, we had a pleasant experience at the restaurant. The customer service staff were kind and accommodating, and the food, although not to our exact liking, was still of high quality. If you're someone who enjoys sweet flavors and is open to trying new dishes, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Restaurant is very well nicely decorated with fire pit inside.”

“Very nice, cosy interior and a large heated terrace, where you can smoke. Great choice of beers, cocktails an stiff drinks, all not too expensive. We had gin and tonics and a portion of 'bitterballs' a typical Dutch deep fried crusted meatball. I suspect they're homemade here.”

“We came here with the suggestion of a few local friends for a good dining experience. The service was very good, the waiters were super friendly and nice. However, the food was not as good we expected. We had Chef's 5-course with a variety of antipasto, fish and beef steak and most of them were overall a bit bland. Their signature spaghetti parmegiano was fine but got boring after a few bites, and they definitely need better presentation ( i wouldn't mind the look if the food was tasty). Talking of look-and-feel, the decor was also a let-down as they kind of stuck between the contemporary and tradditional italian restaurant. I thought they needed an update their exterior and interior design. All in all, a well-serviced restaurant but lack of taste, both in food and care for details”
