“I’ve been coming here for years and it never fails to hit the spot. The fresh, high quality, locally sourced, ingredients make all the difference and you can taste it. The pies out of the handmade pizza oven are top of the line when it comes to that classic Neapolitan style. The crust is soft and fluffy with even leoparding throughout. I always get the Margherita and the only way it could possibly be better is if they used buffalo mozzarella instead of the more common cow variety. This time around I tried the “New York” pizza which uses fontinella and fontina. I will admit this particular pie was relatively bland compared to the Margherita. I won’t be getting that one again but it was worth a shot. As for the other items on the menu the chili-kissed garlic knots are sublime and the wings are ethereal. Sometimes we come and only order two plates of wings and no pizza. They’re that good. These guys are free range, antibiotic free, and local from Buttonwood Farms. They’re brined in house and fried to order in beef tallow which provides a level of depth and umami that you won’t find in an average wing - 9.4/10 clucks. My favorite sauce is the pineapple habanero that I enjoy on the side as to allow for an unadulterated, sauceless, bite when I please. Overall I couldn’t recommend Pizzeoli enough. Every friend I’ve brought here over the years has enjoyed it as much as I have.”

“Loved the whole experience of dining here, the service was phenomenal. It was very packed and I was hoping to seat in the more intimate quiet section but also loved the energy of the place on a Thursday night. We got a bunch of things, there was the Thursday spaghetti special and it was a huge plate that was enough for 2 people, the noodles were good but I didn’t care for the sauce. The meatballs were delicious but the short rib didn’t really pair well with the marinara. I also got the 12oz wood grilled ribeye and while it was cooked to perfection and seasoned very well, about a third of it was fat so couldn’t really eat. Also, definitely try some oysters, our server recommended the east coast ones for their milder, less fishy flavour and it was amazingly fresh and the accompaniments paired perfectly. Don’t skip the dessert either as they have a pastry chef on deck. I thought the chocolate hazelnut tiramisu was off the charts, it was so rich and decadent and just smacked you in the face with coffee and chocolate. My husband loved the apple cider cake, it was fresh and the salted cream and pomegranates added a complex note to it.”

The halibut was fantastic too, as was the awesome beef cheek with parsnip puree. This was followed by some amazing desserts, my favorite being a phenomenal macaroon. What an amazing night, and this place played a huge part in that.”

“Went for late lunch/early dinner on 12/26 while visiting from Vancouver, WA. The personal pan pizza dough was doughy but toppings were good. Supreme pizza thin crust was very good. I was shocked that we were charged $3.19 per child’s drink. I can understand that amount for adult size drinks but small paper cups that wasn’t refilled not so much.”

“Came to this place for dinner with family and we had a great time. The food menu was good typical Italian restaurant menu in Saint Louis. The food we ordered was tasty with big portions and well presented. The calamari appetizer was good, but on the bland side it needed like pecorino cheese shavings to add flavor to the plate, overall very good. The other orders looked good and flavorful. The Sambuca chichen i ordered was deliciouswith the only complaint it was swimming in the sauce wich made it a bit messy. I ordered a Manhatan, and was ok..needed a good cherry to be perfect. Overall the night and dinner was good, I will come back again for another try.”

“The Crossing is an amazing restaurant with even more amazing food. My sisters and I chose the 4 course tasting menu w/ wine pairings. The presentations were all beautiful and the food really was some of the best food I've ever eaten. I have not one single complaint about the whole experience. Our server, Joshua, was super attentive and patient, and very knowledgeable about both the menu and the wines. It's a little pricey, but not overpriced, definitely worth every penny. I highly recommend The Crossing, and I will be back. Excellent celebration restaurant too.”

“Great food and great staff. The place was clean and the service was pretty fast. The guys making the pizza seemed happy to be at work, and the two ladies were really nice at the register. The pizza was great and the crust was very light and tasty! My friend got cheese sticks and a Philly, and they said both were delicious! Everything had a beautiful golden brown crust, just right, not burnt, not undercooked, pure perfection. Cheese sticks even had a perfect pull! I’ll be visiting again.”

“Changing my review from 5-Star to 2-Star. We've been eating at Il Bel Lago for years. In the past, they've always had great service and spectacular food. Unfortunately, our most recent visit over Memorial Day weekend was less than spectacular. The food was great as usual, but our waiter was rude and slow. I think had a bad waiter that tried to be funny by being condescending and rude. We will revisit the restaurant one time to see if this is a trend or a fluke.”

The server assistant was fantastic I believe her name was Lacey, she was attentive and took our drink and dessert orders after seeing that we were being ignored by our server. The eggplant was soggy and flavorless. Overall the music and atmosphere was nice but the food and overall service was appalling considering the pricing.”
