“Overall this is quite a good artisan pizza spot - chewy crust, great flavors/toppings, and fun cocktails. The food came out unbelievably fast - but it took a long time to get the server's attention because we sat by the door and they didn't see us. We had to go ask the hostess to get the server after waiting about 20 minutes. This is the reason for the 2/5 stars for atmosphere and 1 star removed from overall rating. The calamari was my favorite appetizer - light and perfectly fried. We enjoyed the meatballs - tender and well sauced. We went as a 6 person group and tried 5 pizzas and loved them all, especially the almondine one. That was fantastic and unique. The crusts were perfect but the middles were a little soggy so that could be improved. The salads were all fresh and delicious though on the sweeter side. The cocktails were interesting and fun and I'd go again to try a few others! I'd recommend this for an upscale sit-down pizza spot with some variety. We did not have the pasta so we cannot comment on it but we'll be back to try it! Lastly, the desserts were excellent. We got the tiramisu and the chocolate cake and they were decadent and perfect. We'd come back just for them. The tiramisu was so fluffy and light. Oof!”

“Nice vibe and ambience! Food options are limited but very delicious. It is more of a couple and romantic restaurant rather than big groups and family. Pretty much no option for kids. The salads are great and fresh and unique in flavor. We tried moules frites and schnitzel. Both very tasty. The broth of moules was thick and flavorful. Cocktails were hit or miss. I tried smoke & haze and it was too bitter for my taste and dominated the flavor. Parking is easy and off street.”

The wine list is on the smaller side but a steal! Eg A bottle of Belle Glos Pinot is $48(TW sells for $50), a Jordan Cab from Sonoma for $75(TW $60). Definitely a recommendation, 4.5 stars.”

Service and food were fantastic but the kicker was that we never reminded them it was our anniversary- just a short note on the reservation I made days ago- However, they brought us a gorgeous desert with a sparkler and candles without any reminder about the special occasion! “This is just a burger and pizza place. Everything else is like a Bickfords in that most everything is frozen and not fresh. We were a party of four on a Saturday night. The kitchen was very much behind on everything, and our hostess did keep us updated, which was helpful. The salmon and meatloaf steak tips were overly cooked and not edible. The manager comped some of our food, which we thank him for. The deserts would be a 2.5. I gave them a 3 for atmosphere, and it wasn't their fault, but they could have said something to the parents that allowed their kids to run around like it was Chucky Cheese. Why parents can't control their kids makes for a very uncomfortable evening. We prayed that nobody would get hurt as the kids were funny up and down the aisles where people and staff were moving hot food. So, if we ever go there again, it will be just a hamburger or a pizza and drinks. Responding to your reply: When you respond using personal attacks, that certainly tells me about your character. Had you responded professionally, I would have removed my review, and the fact that you mentioned my friend's name on a public forum shows that you sir should never be in a manager's role. That was unprofessional and out of line. My friend thought the wings were okay, but he ordered medium-rare steak tips, which were well done. He is not one to complain, so he didn't say anything to you about it. I did say in my review that you comped us, which was much appreciated, and that our server kept us up to date on what was happening in the kitchen. She was very kind and pleasant too. We gave her a 25% tip from the total amount before you comp'd portions of our meal. My review was about the food and quality (or lack thereof). There are just some things that you need to prepare better. You should take the salmon off your menu. Lastly, I have been in retail management for over 30 years, and I have responded to many good and bad reviews. However, I have never lowered myself to the level that you have by posting such a hateful and damaging response. If one of my managers had responded as you did, I would have either suspended him, written him up, or even fired him. I am sure that the owners of the Brickyard would have had you respond with empathy rather than in an immature and defensive way. Remember that everything that you do is a reflection of the whole business.”

“The maple sausage patties are excellent! And they have Italian (and white) bread they make there. I wanted the French toast because it sounded so darned good, but having had more than my fair share of sweets over the holidays, stuck with a more traditional breakfast platter. I like over-easy eggs and I they came out hot and perfect. Not too runny and not overcooked. I thoroughly enjoyed the sausage and also dipping some of the toast made from fresh Italian bread in the yolk. Coffee was good, too. Our server was attentive and answered all our “first timers” questions regarding the sausages, the breads, etc. And the view of the lake (with so many swans!) is great if you’re lucky enough to get a booth with a window beside the lake. Charming place. Enjoyed our meal and recommend.”

“This Italian Restaurant is a must go every time I visit the Boston area. The restaurant has nice decor with bar serving alcohol. The food taste is very authentic and is very close to those in Italy. The entree has lots of choices, from seafood, steak, pasta and pizza. Most impressed is the Tiramisu, with the right alcohol balance with the dessert. The day we visited was very busy and looked like the servers were being stressed.”

“I normally NEVER write reviews — good or bad but felt I had to say something for the service we experienced tonight. My husband and I have lived in Winchester for the past 2 years and decided to check out Lucia’s for the first time as it always seemed lively and has a cute area for outdoor seating. We were seated outside promptly but it all started going downhill after that. We waited about 15 minutes before someone came by to give us water and then probably another 10 minutes before a different person came out with some bread and butter — the bread was warm, I’ll give them that. But then NO ONE came by again to take our order or even check in on us. At first I thought they were just busy and taking longer to get to us but I noticed servers seating, greeting, and taking orders for groups seated outside that came in AFTER US. The couple seated next to us even noticed and asked us if anyone has helped us. So finally after at least 40 minutes of just sitting around with our bread and water, we headed back in to let the hostess know the situation. She was apologetic but no one there seemed very concerned. Even after all that, we decided to order takeout and waited another 20 minutes at the bar for the food to be prepared. I ordered the bolognese and it was okay but nothing special and definitely not worth the hassle and $50 we spent for two pasta dishes. I really wanted to love this place because of how charming it looked. Maybe the service would have been better/more attentive if we decided to sit indoors but, really, who knows. All I know is that we sat around for 45 minutes with bread and water and not once did any staff come by to say hello or take our order.”
