“Not sure if the volume of noise falls under atmosphere but wow it was LOUD yesterday. Through no fault of their own, La Famiglia is hands down the loudest place I have ever eaten at. The patrons in question were there in large numbers over 2 groups and my poor vocal cords couldn’t take trying to talk to my friends over them lol. I’ve been assured by the people working there, it’s not usually that loud but there was a couple of birthday parties there on this night, so yeh so much noise. But the people that work there are lovely”

“Saluti is our favourite Italian restaurant for polpette al sugo. The meatballs are fairly big, well seasoned with a slightly firmer texture. The sauce itself is the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity with chunky tomatoes. We always end up getting extra bread to scoop it all up! We’ve tried a few different starters, pastas and pizzas over the years and we’re never disappointed. You get what you order. Standard portions. Their polpettes are the main reason we keep coming back! “Celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday with a family dinner for 10 people. Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful and attentive staff here. The food was absolutely beautiful. Fresh, authentic, and served at a relaxed pace. The prices are reasonable and the smells coming from the open kitchen created an atmosphere that was like being at home with your family around the dinner table. Abruzzo Lab may not be situated in the hustle and bustle of the high street, but I expect the manageable rent allows them to deliver outstanding food without ridiculous prices. This place is a gem. Don’t let a review whinging about glassware put you off. Go immediately!”
