“My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate his birthday. The meal was lovely and part of the Boulder Bites restaurant week. Overall, we had a spectacular time though there was a really loud group of people behind us that made it nearly impossible for us to speak to each other. That was unfortunate. The area we were in in sugar beets just amplified their noise and made it very difficult. But the food was spectacular and I have been here previously and had a perfectly lovely time. I just wish people would be more considerate of others with their speaking volume I will say that they gave such generous portions for the Boulder Bites special event and that I appreciate it. We did not expect a full-sized appetizer etc. on a four course dinner.”

“During my recent visit, I had their 8-course meal, which was delicious but a bit underwhelming in other aspects. The presentation of each dish was incredible, they were beautifully crafted and appealing. The generous use of truffle in many dishes added a luxurious touch. The standouts were the buckwheat cake with caviar, the gnocchi di zucca, and the pairing of lobster with wagyu. The drinks, particularly the Old Fashioned, the Luxury Sidecar, and the Penicilin, were very enjoyable. Ending the meal with complimentary chocolates was a nice surprise. The ambiance didn’t quite hit the mark of a high-class establishment, primarily due to the staff’s casual demeanor and lack of attention to detail (re-filling waters, getting new drink orders, etc.). This was further emphasized when I saw someone in the kitchen dressed in a t-shirt, rather than a chef’s uniform. Although there were some memorable dishes, the overall experience was marred by slow service and a price tag that might not reflect the value of the experience.”

“Had a great first time dinning at Basta, the service was really great and all the staff was super attentive and friendly. The burrata app with the sourdough is a MUST. That was my favorite part of the meal. Also got the pepperoni pizza (which in my opinion had a tad too much sauce and not enough honey), a pasta dish and 2 desserts. Overall we will be back to try more items on the menu! I really love how the flour is all locally milled by the restaurant group, so cool!”

“2022-May. Party of 6. Parking was easy. But it was a Sunday night. The facility was clean. So was the bathroom. We were seated right away, because it was not busy. We did have a reservation. The server quickly handed us our menus, coloring pencils, and activity sheet for our 10 yo. We ordered garlic knots (this was delicious), fried calamari (tasted ok), and mozzarella sticks (tasted good) for appetizers. For the main entrees, we had cheese ravioli (this tasted good), lasagna (tasted ok), spaghetti carbonara (tasted bland), shrimp penne arrabiata (tasted bland) kid's cheese pizza (my kids didnt like it), and kid's chicken fingers (my kid said it was ok) with fries. For drinks, we had 2 sodas, 1 lemonade, and 1 milk. Our total was around $140 before tip. Good service, however we would have appreciated it more if he told us that the kitchen was closing, so we could have ordered desserts. Oh well... Bon Appétit!”

“Disclaimer: my step daughter works here. That said, we could definitely drive to Boulder and meet her for dinner anywhere. Instead we try to go up when she’s working so we can have the amazing pizza. Dough? Superb. Crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy inside. The toppings? Unique and high quality. The dishes besides pizza? This time we had carrot curry soup and though it wasn’t my favorite dish I’ve had there it was smooth and flavorful. I didn’t get it this time because I was already a bit hung over but the tap wall is aces! I love getting to sample a lot of stuff without paying for and drinking seven drinks! The restaurant is cute and cozy and the staff work together really well. I would drive up to Boulder for this pizza even without my kid working there!”
