Pure Pizza

Closed until 11:00 AM

1911 Central Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205, United States

“the pizza was very tasty with fine pasta and good ingredients, quality. I found the right price for a wood-burning pizza. I came here on a Sunday night and there was only one customer in the house. The request came out very quickly. The place looks a bit old, but I understand that it is part of the decoration of the place.”

“The place has a cool look a feel, great service. The dining room feels a bit tight, would want sit closer to the bar here. Great wine list, pricey domestic bottles, old world wines are better bang for the buck. Food portions to price made sense, loved it was a nice portion. The octopus took top marks for us, and could have ordered all the main courses. Great experience.”

“I have had this place on my radar since it was the only decent looking pizza spot I have found so far in Charlotte. You order on your phone by either visiting their website or scanning the code on their takeout window and then wait patiently. The ticket times are a little long but they are also working out of a small kitchen so it is totally understandable. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating but you can take it to go as well. Just by looks alone, this was a sharp looking pizza. I ordered the plain pie which comes with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, and basil. Coming in at a 16" pie, the value is there for the price you're paying. The pizza had some good char on the bottom, a light crisp, and a good chew to the outer crust. I noticed there were also what looked like bread crumbs in the box. I have heard of some places doing this on the outer or bottom crust but it was used sparingly to not take away from their dough. My only critique was that it just needed a little more oomph to it. I don't know if that needs to be in the sauce or the cheese, but I felt it just needed to be turned up a little more in terms of flavor. Otherwise, the individuals who own the spot were friendly and kept me updated on the status of my order. I got here right at open and they already had people picking up orders so it definitely has a good amount of recognition in the area. It was an interesting location as well because you have this unassuming pizzeria on one side of the road and newer apartments on the other side. It was like two worlds collided but were still living in harmony. If someone had asked me where to go for pizza in Charlotte, I would probably send them here first.”

Restaurant Constance

“Objectively the best dining experience of my life (so far). The ingredients are locally sourced and intimately curated with an incredible attention to detail. Everything we tried was phenomenal, and an experience in itself. We were feeling curious and tried several small plates on the menu along with several entrees and desserts. Every single thing we tried felt special and crafted with integrity. Each dish was incredibly delicious, but a few stood out: the Hamachi Sashimi, Pork Dumplings, Braised Short Ribs over celery root purée, and my absolute favorite: the Oatmeal Cake with homemade gelato. Also really loved the non-alcoholic menu, only the best places truly think of everyone. Whenever I’m in Charlotte, Restaurant Constance will be first in mind.”

“Small Italian Restaurant. 1st time. Pasta fungi with cream sauce, truffle oil. Mind blowing. Elk chops and Mahi Mahi amazing. Bread, lacking. There are better options. Delicious wine and helpful staff.”

“Absolutely stunning restaurant and atmosphere. I just wanted to order a chicken Caesar salad for lunch and sit outside by myself. I was given the most amazing customer service. The salad was absolutely beautiful and tasty. Very classy and respectful place.”
