“Got invited to this restaurant by local friends who spoke so highly of this place but we all left feeling EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED by the service. The lady who seems to be the owner couldn’t care less about the customers, she was constantly on her phone behind the bar. The ONE waitress serving the whole restaurant packed with clients didn’t want to engage, probably because of the language barrier? Or maybe because she was overwhelmed with the amount of work. Food was served and no cutlery, had to keep asking again and again. Food was ok-ish but not as good as my friends said. May be we went there on a bad day! They are apparently known for their truffle dishes hence eating there but wasn’t that good anyway. My friends in l’aquila felt very embarrassed and apologised so much as they also witnessed how bad it was.”

“A family run restaurant with a nice vibe. The best ravioli we've had in Italy. The other pasta was also very good. The only disappointment were the veggies, as they were served rather cold and after a long wait - a plate of spinach, another one of artichokes, and mixed salad. Coffee and pan dell'orso for dessert was great. We visited for lunch on Sunday and were very lucky to get a table. Reserve ca 1.5 hours for a meal, as the food is freshly prepared and the staff is not in a hurry (they also speak almost no English, but you can manage:)).”

“We had a really amazing dinner. The “aperitivo cenato” let’s you taste large parts of their menus (10 courses) with tiny, tasty bites. Brilliant idea and we’ll executed. We also had the lamb cheek, which was just wonderful, and finished with one of the most amazing desserts I’ve ever had: a genziana mousse with a saffron and apple warm marmalade. Brilliant, well balanced, just the best. Top notch service and gorgeous location.”

“Best Fungi Ravioli I've ever had. We visited Tagliacozzo on a random day in the middle of January and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The owners were great, they spoke little English but that was fine because we spoke enough Italian that we had good conversations with them. The wine was good, and the food was even better. I don't remember what the first entree I ordered was but it was good as well, but after trying my friends ravioli it was so good I had to order a second!”
