“Been a while since we were at Pismo Beach Pier and when we got here The Oyster Loft was right at the corner. In. Sunny day you'll be able to see the ocean and shallow waves plus there is a beautiful walkway now. The food was great, we have salt restrictions and they complied and gave us French fries and potato waffle fries perfectly They have an elaborate Bar, great menu with very reasonable prices and the restaurant is very, very clean. Park up on the main highway and enjoy a leisurely walk and check out the many shows and small businesses as you get close to the pier Pismo has lost its small town atmosphere but is still a most enjoyable place to visit. I've been coming to Pismo Beach for 50 years and still love it”

“On a Tuesday evening, my partner and I spontaneously decided to visit Buona Tavola without a reservation, and to our surprise, the restaurant was bustling with patrons. The staff kindly set up a heat lamp on the patio for us and served a delightful Pinot Noir. As we perused the menu, we couldn't resist trying the spicy clams and mussels, a half order of the mushroom bruschetta, and the scallop and prawn salad – all of which were truly exceptional. Initially, we thought we might stop there, but the flavors were so outstanding that we couldn't resist ordering some pasta. The parpadelle pasta turned out to be the best I've ever tasted, perfectly al dente, and each bite surpassed the last. I wished I had a second stomach to savor it all that night! The delightful company of my loved one made the experience even better. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for an indoor reservation next time; the food was genuinely remarkable.”

“Had a lovely dinner here, with amazing food, upscale cocktails and a mellow dimly lite ambiance. Perfect for a romantic date or just grabbing a relaxed bite. The service was on pretty on point our server was very polite and friendly. The pizzas were simple but definitely elevated and made with the finest and freshest ingredients. Pro Tip: ask them about there tiramasu 🤌🤌”

“Had dinner for a friend’s birthday trip. The food was excellent!!! We scarfed down our appetizers before we could take photos! The Osso Buco was superb and practically fell off the bone without a knife! My friends had the sea bass and squid ink pasta and enjoyed every bite. Had a bottle of Eberle from one of the local wineries. I ended my meal with amaro and it brought back memories of my Italian vacation this summer! Highly recommend.”

“MUST TRY!!! I may be biased as I used to be a team member at this restaurant back from 2006 to 2008, but this spot has my favorite type of Northern Italian cuisine on the entire Central Coast of California. I have eaten at Buona Tavola SLO countless times throughout the years, yet I have never once had anything, but an exceptional experience, superb service by each team member, freshly and deliciously prepared meals. So many years later (almost 32 I believe), this restaurant's quality has not changed one bit. Even under the new ownership, they strive to make you feel like you are in Italy by offering the most unique and authentic food items such as Bruschetta ai funghi trifolati, Insalata di Mare, Minestrone Soup and Tagliata di bue salutare - some of my favorite items. Unexpectedly, prices are surprisingly affordable considering the fact that inflation is outrageous right now yet Buona uses the freshest seasonal ingredients + many items are shipped straight from Italy. For our main course we opted in for Fettuccine al sugo di carni miste and Pesce del giorno alla griglia - both 10/10. As for dessert we chose Crema Di Vaniglia Della Buona Tavola and of course, the famous Tiramisu. My husband dreams of Buona's Tiramisu quite often. We try it at every restaurant we go to that offers it, and nothing compares to Buona Tavola's one. Service by Hailey G. was fantastic as she welcomed us and made us feel special. The main busser was so friendly - loved him, too! Thank you to the new owner and management for making sure that old patrons still receive outstanding experience when visiting this authentic Italian restaurant. Like Antonio Varia used to say: "I cook with love and I feel love in the air" vibe is still here and I am so thrilled to be able to experience it!”

“Nate's on Marsh is the kind of Italian-style restaurant that you expect to find in a much larger city, and easily one of my favorite 3 restaurants in San Luis Obispo. The service is top notch, food quality is very high, and the atmosphere is friendly, yet sophisticated. On each of my visits, I've been impressed with the knowledgeable and friendly servers who are typically familiar with each of the dishes and make thoughtful recommendations. The Italian pasta dishes are prepared perfectly, and the steaks are grilled exactly as ordered. There are several interesting appetizers, including a charred octopus, which is exceptional. Nate's offers an interesting and diverse wine menu with interesting Italian choices, as you might expect. There are a variety of by the glass and bottle choices, reasonably priced (a hefty $35 corkage fee though). The restaurant is set in an old but nicely restored house on Marsh street near downtown San Luis Obispo. In addition to the warm and welcoming indoor areas, there is a lovely outdoor patio, with heat lamps. There is also a 5-seat bar that is open all day, on a first-come, first-served basis. Overall, this is a delightful restaurant that consistently delivers. The prices are quite reasonable for the quality and level of service.”

“We sat at the bar, the girl bar back was friendly. The food was ok. Calamari was very bland and the scallops were OK. The beef carpaccio was really good I don’t like capers so next time I’ll ask to not have them added. The tuna tartare was very good as well.”

“The food was very Mediocre, the workers made it feel comfortable though everyone was very Nice. The restroom was clean, I'm definitely not going back again, that was the Wettest Calzone I've ever had, we should have just gotten Pizza hut it would have been expected. The Potato Skins were dry to begin with. Oh well, like I told the girl on my way out, I'm Probably never going to see them again :)”
