“Had dinner here on a friend’s recommendation. Food was excellent. I enjoyed the primi dishes most. We also had a few of the daily specials e.g white truffle on egg which had a lovely delicate flavor. The restaurant also had a great selection of wines. Service was warm and friendly. The staff were young but were very knowledgeable about the dishes and wines. They added that very welcoming touch to dining at Bertozzi.”

The server was very nice and offered great recommendations for both food, wine, and digestifs. I also liked the design element of having a skylight window into the wine cellar.”

“It’s a 3.5 trattoria. Food is okay, but the menu can get a bit touristic and pricy. We paid 22€ each, of which 3 were just for the service. Overall is okay if you want something easy and cosy. Just remember to book with a day in advance cause it’s always full!”

“What a fabulous find hidden in the mountains between Bologna and Florence. My experience at the rustic and authentic Trattoria Anconella was exceptional. As a solo diner with very limited Italian I was treated incredibly well, even without a reservation. I ate a plate of affettati misti (mixed cold cuts) which was delicious, followed by a bowl of the most delicious tortellini in brodo I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend adding it as a stop if you’re driving between Bologna and Florence - stunning views on the way and even better food to keep you going!”

“Benito restaurant. It means taking a seventy-year leap into the past and rediscovering the ancient world of the Emilian Apennines. The "Balera del Liscio", the dining room with the large fireplace, homemade pasta, delicious mushrooms and truffles and what about the bain-marie "pudding" cooked in the oven .... Nonno Benito still coordinates the wonderful team family now in its third generation .... Great atmosphere, unique experience. Chapeau!”

“Everything was great. From walking in and seeing couple kids kicking around a football to the meats and alcohol selection, made for a cool ambiance. I would say the service was awesome and apologies to our waiter but the wine and grappa were very good. Highly recommend this place and I can only hope y’all have as much fun there as we did.”

“The vodka pasta was something else. Definitely a signature dish sublimely tasty. The vegeterian lasagna was very tasty as well but maybe not my style but my husband loved it. I had a local sparkling white wine very delicious. The dish that urged me to give four stars instead of five was the chocolate cake which was nothing special but more like a brownie. Anything else was beautiful. The staff very friendly as well. I also liked the fact they have English menus.”
