“I came late and missed the cut-off time for Slices. Ordered 2 half pizzas, Pepperoni and Titto, both were amazing. 8/10. Super crisp, light with very good quality ingredients. I asked for chilli oil on-top, and they said they couldn't. If I wanted chilli oil, I would have had to buy the whole bottle they sell. Didn't like that.. The gelato is very similar to the quality you get in Italy. Pistachio was super rich and tasted authentic. Also had chunks of the pistachio inside. 10/10”

“Overall our visit was good. The staff were fantastic. Attentive, helpful, and friendly, everything you would want at a restaurant. We were a large group too, they handled it really well. The food was good, everyone enjoyed the flavour, it came hot and at the same time. My only complaint was that my dish, Gnocchi was under cooked, some were nearly raw dough which was disappointing. But I attributed that to our larger group and the kitchen staff trying to get everything cooked at the same time. I will try them again and adjust my rating based on follow up visits.”

“Nice place all around. Very crowded on week-ends. Some of the tables and booths could use a change. They are sticky the wood is used up and the, seats l'éther is cracked. But the People and the fond make up for it. The breakfast bruchetta is divine! Tomates are on the picture because I didnt want the potatoes.”

“Off the beaten path. This delightful little place was amazing and well worth the little trek to get to it. Food was perfect! The Calamari wasn’t over cooked. Lovely flavour in the scallop and shrimp dish; even the gnocchi was good (I will point out I have a a few times and didn’t like it) Service was warm and welcoming even when we were making the reservation. Our server took good care of us and made sure we were taken care of. Atmosphere. It had the Mom & Pop feel. Every thing had its place and wasn’t over filled. It was elegant! If you’re close or want to go on a cute date with someone special this would be a good choice. In my personal opinion, I would give it five maple leafs 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁”

“Discovered a lovely gem here. It was difficult to make a selection as everything on the menu looked appetizing. We finally decided on the Tagliatelle Dello Chef & the Linguine Pescatore and we not disappointed. You can really tell attention to detail in the preparation as everything was cooked to perfection. The service was spot on and all staff were amazing. We are already looking at the menu to try and decide in advance what we will be ordering on our next visit.”

“Ill start by saying if youre expecting a typical pizza then do not eat here, but if you want a unique pizza experience then it's a must try. This place used to be Quiznos it still has Quiznos all over it. I miss Quiznos. Ill start with the service, they are very friendly and welcoming. Next ill talk about the price. They are a little more expensive then a typical pizza but there is a reason for that, which I will get to when describing the pizza. After paying i picked up the pizza box and was surprised with how heavy the pizza was. The employee warned me that they do not cut the pizza unless requested. This is because all the toppings will flow out as soon as you cut it. I finally got back home and opened the pizza box. The first thing I noticed is the tomato chunks and sauce on top (yum) and then the crust. The crust lookes nothing like a typical pizza crust. It is very dense and crispy, I assume this is due to the nature of the type of pizza that this is. I cut the medium pizza into 4 big slices and right away you notice the amount of sauce, toppings and cheese. They just overflow. I got the pizza onto my plate carefully and took my first bite. First things you taste is the tanginess of the sauce and the saltiness of everything combined. There is a nice thick layer of cheese in the middle and topping buried within the pizza. The dough or crust is different in taste and texture, personally im not a fan of this style crust but it works for this pizza since a standard crust will get very soggy quick. The pizza just overflow with sauce and cheese. Its quite the experience. I definitely do not think this would be a weekly pizza for me but a treat once or twice a year. Overall it's a pretty decent pizza, but it's not an actual pizza, if that makes any sense. You're paying for a lot of cheese and sauce. This thing probably weighed 5 lb easily. If you are debating on trying this place, go for it I don't think there are many other chicago-style pizzas in Ottawa. It's definitely a must try at least one time. I will add more to this review in time but for now this is just based on the medium deluxe version Chicago deep dish.”

“Gabriel's used to be my favorite pizza place for late night or game night. For over a decade... it was good food and 15 minutes away... But over the last year, either management or cooks have changed, because the order is always wrong. ALWAYS! Staff don't read the extra instructions on delivery orders. EVER. When we ask for an ingredient on half, it's all over. When we ask for easy cheese on one of the pizza's, its still loaded with the same amount as the other pizzas. Pizzas are now 50% crust, 25% cheese, no matter the type of crust you request. We finally used a $5 off coupon we received from a previous order gone wrong, only to have them mess up again. Tired if it. Time to find a new pizza place. I don't recommend and won't be back.”

“Went here for brunch and it was chef's kiss! Croissant is amazing, daily soup (squash + peanut butter) is so good! I had eggs benedict and my boyfriend had social breakfast, it was 10/10! We were the first one on the place so it was quiet. Very fancy, too! Definitely worth a try!”
