“food choices were not as complete nor as wide as other tong yang branches. they were limited in this branch. the service was poor since it was very hard to ask for assistance. we had to call the attention of the crews several times before somebody approaches us to assist. we just had to make it more worthwhile so as not to ruin our friend's birthday celebration.”

Mercado Del Lago Taguig
4.3
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 10:00 PM

F3Q7+C2C, C-6, Lower Bicutan, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines

“The place is so cool. The best time to visit is during weekdays at 5 PM up. At night, there are some local bands playing on stage. There may be around 100-150 seats available. The food and drinks are affordable. The comfort room is very clean and water is available, there are clean sinks inside the comfort room. Every cubicle has a bidet. This place is too cool to visit with your family and friends. Just make sure not to let your toddler (if you have) run around alone because the railings' style is not so safe for them.”

Bush: House Of Katsu

M24M+C23, SM North Edsa Access Road, Bago Bantay, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines

“I recently dined at Yabu in SM North, and my overall experience was fantastic. The restaurant's ambiance was inviting, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The menu offered a delightful variety of Japanese dishes, and I couldn't resist trying their signature dishes. However, the only downside of my visit was the waiting time. It took quite a while to be seated and for our orders to arrive at the table. Despite this, the quality of the food made up for the wait. The katsu dishes were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the flavors were simply mouthwatering. The staff was attentive and courteous, which added to the overall positive impression of the restaurant. Despite the initial delay, I would definitely recommend Yabu for its delicious Japanese cuisine and cozy ambiance. Just be prepared to have a little patience during busy times.”

“delicious food and speedy service. came in at 6pm, food was served at 6:15pm (counting the time we took to decide what to eat) I've always been on the hunt for the best unagi don and this restaurant's marinade for the eel is one of the best for me (tho thats just an opinion) sushi they served are amazing too and are larger compared to other restaurants that skimp out on the size of the sushi they serve. first timw ive seen a dish called uni spaghetti. sounded weird for me at first but it's worth trying. overall great dining experience would recommend this branch 10/10”

“Got to visit city again and dine here after 1 year. I miss ramen kuroda. Legit tasty ramen and broth. One thing i like is that the taste and quality never change. Not pricey also. I dined around 5pm and the restaurant is not busy. Avoid visiting during busiest time (lunch) if you are hungry and want to eat without waiting”

Tong Yang Sm City Grand Central
4.9
( 8 reviews )
Open until 09:00 PM

Level 3, SM City Grand Central, Grace Park East, Caloocan, Metro Manila, Philippines

“Ate here to celebrate my niece’s birthday and we enjoyed our experience. We went on a weekday so it wasn’t that crowded. This branch is relatively new since the mall only opened in late 2021. Not as big as the one in Mega Mall but I think it’s perfect for small groups, it’s more intimate here. As for the food, I’d say it’s good enough for the price. Got to enjoy their tempura which is refilled often tho konti lang ang mga cooked foods nila. For the hotpot, maraming choices, they have shrimp which I enjoyed pero yung salmon sabi ng mama ko hindi na ganun ka fresh. Choices of veggies are limited, mostly for sinigang soup lang tho they have mushrooms. They also have the thinly sliced meat common in hotpot but you have to ask for it in the counter area, unfortunately pa-tapos na kami kumain nung nalaman namin. As for the service, staff are friendly tho kailangan mo silang tawagin para ma-assist kayo. Only downside is they don’t serve alcohol here. Would’ve like a beer or two. Bathroom is also clean which is a plus for me.”

Yabu: Howse Of Katsu Robinson's Magonia

Open until 11:00 PM

Lower Ground Level, Robinsons Magnolia, Aurora Blvd, Corner Doña Hemady St, Quezon City, 1111 Metro Manila, Philippines

“I like this branch for it’s cozy atmosphere, the seat assigned to me was bit far from the servers, we had to wave for quite a while to be noticed. Food as of 11/11/23 I noticed that the portion got smaller but the taste is still consistent. They have this ongoing promo, free mozzarella cheese when you order two fruit shakes. The only available fruit then was watermelon (which is free in the sets) per glass costs 150 pesos as of to date.”

“SERVICE FEEDBACK: Came on a Monday evening for dinner. The place was quite empty (see picture) and there were only 3 other occupied tables at the time of visit. My partner, requested for a table for 2 where we can sit side-by-side (as opposed to sitting across each other). This was because a) my partner was a bit on the heavier side and b) the booth for 2 was quite cramped, as you can gather from the picture, the solo table/chair is quite small c) we prefer to have a double table as we planned to order quite a few things when we saw this resto on IG. As per the server, the bench tables were for groups of 4. We asked twice and was declined both times, despite the restaurant being close to empty (another table had left while waiting for our order). It would have been a more comfortable dining experience had they allowed us to sit on the bench tables. I fully understand that the servers were just following restaurant policy but again - some consideration can be made seeing as the resto was near empty. I can say the the food had an innovative take on Japanese fusion. I liked the soy butter noodles which tasted like carbonara. My partner liked the spicy mala gyudon except the portion left something to be desired. I would have loved to try out their dessert menu (the Fuji Apple Cloud specifically) but we were already uncomfortable with the service provided to us so we just ate quickly and left. Other things worth mentioning, no condiments on the table, no chopsticks either (we had to ask for it). 4 stars for the food we tried, and 2 for the service.”

“Food: Bacon Fried rice 6/10 ok, nothing special Sakura Bento 6/10 is also possible, just skip the prawn tempura, the breading is still intact, the tempura of Tokyo Tokyo is still delicious. The test of the bento is good Tonkotsu Ramen 4/10 the cooking was very bland as if it was rushed. It's sad that the soup has no life, I didn't expect the ramen to go missing in this branch Service: 2/10 paid the service charge but they said no service water was served but the next table with us who ordered had it. No idea why it's a good thing we brought our own water and just asked for ice hahaha. The CR is clean 9/10 and complete with utilities, I still have option 2 after the meal hahaha”
