“This is the best restaurant I have been to near Kurohime area. The food are so delicious and very reasonable price !! We sat at terrance over looking the little villiage surrounded by beautiful mountains . You feel like you are some where in Europe’s Winery !! The place is only accessible by shuttle bus over weekend so you basically need a car to get there . After lunch , a strolling around the area and shop is highly recommended !!”

“I took a bath during the day. The location deep in the mountains lifts your mood. This process is important. We finally arrived in the afternoon. It's a very, very quiet place. The person who accepted me was a very gentle man. The entrance to the building is also cute, warm, and classy. With the snow falling, the atmosphere is great. Open-air is already the best. Beautiful emerald green, Yunohana. It's a small hot spring, not a large one, but there weren't many people so I was able to relax. Be careful as the area near where the source flows is hot. Let's go studless.”

“The ambience and service was excellent. I was surprised by how many staff there were. Prices are on the high side but the food was great. We found the yakitori lacking and a bit salty but the horse sashimi, bee larvae, soba and chicken were top notch. We did regret not ordering the oden though.”

8053-4 Hotakaariake, Azumino, Nagano 399-8301, Japan

“Visited on November 11, 2023 A soba restaurant close to Hachimen Daio Footbath I went right when the store opened, but there were people lining up, so I had to wait a while to enter, write my name on the register inside the store, and wait outside, so be careful as you have to go inside once! I had the recommended wasabi bud soba in the store, and it was delicious. There is also a very elegant and tasteful booklet with pictures and poems drawn by the shop owner on the desk. Mr. Asakawa, the owner? Carlos is a very smiling and friendly old man who remembers Carlos and gave me a wonderful photo of Azumino some time ago, so I'm happy to display it in my room. The garden is also very large and is a wilderness of Azumino? We also recommend taking a leisurely stroll while waiting ✋”

“Great restaurant with a wide variety of food options. Each table has their own little room so it would be a good place if you want a little more privacy. I would recommend the set meals as its much better portion to price ratio which includes your main, side dishes and even a little dessert.”

“Excellent dining environment, cosy and comfortable, nice interior decor. Western breakfast like eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, sausages, bisque were all delicious. Completed our breakfast with their famous pancakes, which were very fluffy and rich in taste, especially good with maple syrup.”

“A long-established soba restaurant that is said to have been in business for over 300 years at the entrance to Zenkoji Temple. This is a perfect stop for sightseeing at Zenkoji Temple, so if you want to enjoy the sensual atmosphere of the early Meiji period buildings and mountain trails, but are looking for even a little bit of deliciousness, we recommend the ``Tokusei Handmade Sarashina'' or ``Special Handmade Tempura Sarashina''.”

“This is my first visit. There is no need to worry as there is plenty of parking in front of the store (communal parking lot). There are only a few seats available, and if the restaurant is full, you will be given a bell after ordering and will be asked to wait in your car. I had the small loin cutlet set meal 150g for 2,310 yen (tax included) and the small fillet cutlet set meal 130g for 2,640 yen (tax included). The sold Iwanaka pork loin was fried at a low temperature and was tender and juicy. The fillet was Chateaubriand, and it was delicious considering the price. Considering the price, it's at a normal level, so I don't feel it's cost effective, but I think it's worth having at least once. This can be said about both fillet and loin, but it doesn't feel like a pork cutlet, and it feels like eating meat, so I don't think it's suitable for people who like regular pork cutlets. In addition to the food, I have attached photos, but there are a lot of complicated instructions, so it's a bit troublesome for first-time visitors. The inside of the restaurant doesn't have a luxurious feel, and the customer service from the hall staff is average, so you may have to decide to just go and eat the meat.”

“With a gorgeous exterior, this restaurant served us a very Japanese lunch. For the unagi they informed us there'd be a 30 minute wait, which was totally worth it. It was delicate in texture and in flavor. The slightly sweet eel sauce flavored the rice underneath beautifully. I ordered karp which had a delicate texture and came with some parts of the fish I did not recognize. One of the waitresses spoke good English.”

Home Run Tei

Japan, 〒382-0087 Nagano, Suzaka, 市東 横町344須坂ショッピングセンターパルム1階

“As everyone has written, the store is located in the Suzaka Shopping Center "Palm" building (1st floor), which was a modern building near the station. Currently, most of the storefronts have withdrawn and the area is showing its age and is now a shuttered shopping street. For now, just keep going inside the closed shutters and you'll come to the end of a passageway, so just turn and it'll be right in front of you. There is a strong odor that indicates that the broth is made from pork bones, but unless you are someone who doesn't like pork bones, the smell won't be too strong. The customers are young and old, both men and women, so I think many people find the ramen delicious. What's more, the service is also quite good, as they make sure to replenish the cold drinks on the table. (It's only open for a short time, so don't expect too much friendliness during busy times...) As for the most important ramen, the thinly cut chashu that is boiled in an old-fashioned way and the richly flavored menma are irresistible. Also, I don't notice much of a smell, and personally, I almost groan at the flavor that comes out in the soup. Moreover, unlike it looks, the soup is not ``sticky''. The choice between miso and soy sauce is just a matter of preference, but for those who want to experience Home Run Tei's tonkotsu, soy sauce is the way to go. Regarding the salt content, many people seem to find it salty, but regular customers say that when they add the ``vinegar'' placed on the table, the harsh, sharp saltiness that they felt from the soup disappears. This is perfect because it makes it mellow! ! It has a taste that makes you think (this is my impression lol) Of course, there is no sourness left at all. Along with the ramen, we recommend ordering the bean sprout kimchi and green onion kimchi side dishes that many regulars order. It's a versatile dish that's great for snacking on while waiting for ramen, or for adding it all to your ramen. Both types of kimchi are good, and each one is 50 yen, so you should try it at least once. Adding bean sprouts and kimchi to the ramen is the best. Finally, the easiest and best way to pay at this store, which does not have a cash register, is to hand the last item of your order, such as ramen, directly to the staff member at your seat, or, even more smoothly, to leave the money on the table or counter. I think the pattern is that you leave it there and the staff takes it to you at the end (it's OK to leave an amount that gives you change). Absolutely no pork bones! I'm writing this assuming that you won't come here, but if you're okay with a little bit, I think there are many people who will become addicted to the flavorful soup after eating it 2 or 3 times.”

“A small and relaxing inn, located right next to the lower shrine of Suwa Taisha Shrine, it's the perfect place for a morning walk! The hot spring water is so hot! The water was just right for me, who likes hot water, but it was too hot for my husband, who likes lukewarm water. I especially recommend the dishes, each of which is carefully prepared! For us, an elderly couple, each dish was served at the right time, so we were able to enjoy our meal in a relaxed manner.”
