“Second time eating here, I liked it even better. This is the only place where I feel the sushi tastes like how I am familiar with. They are good with their fish, either raw or cooked. I rarely like eel nigiri or just eel in general (like unagi don) unless it’s cooked alright but tonight it was my favorite. It was absolutely delicious so was everything else. By far the best Japanese restaurant I’ve been to in AZ. Will def go back😋”

“Loved the food, portion sizes and price. This is a create your own bowl place, so, if it doesn’t meet expectations, it will be your fault. I would suggest they add chef created bowl combos and put them on the menu so you cant miss. Most other poke places do that. Not much service since you order at the counter. The staff was helpful. “No curb appeal but the food is good and the service is polite. Also it didn't take long for our orders to come out. The green beans with hot sauce and lime I hadn't ever had before and will not have again. Just not a good idea in my opinion. The sushi and beef lo mein were very good! “The stuff we’re good but the stir fried noodle were a bit undercooked and hard and crispy everything else was fine. It was really expensive. Only 1 server. The Christmas decorations were beautiful!🎄🧑🎄 food took a while to be delivered. No public WIFI! There were public restrooms only 12 minutes away from lower Ken’s Tours really recommend it!! “Delicious, nutritious, no frills good old fashioned food. I’m a fan of Tokyo Stop! I like the #41 #42 and #55 the large Ramen is enough to share. I call ahead 10minutes later it’s ready for me. I can’t wait to try more of the menu items. Very nice staff friendly and attentive. The chicken was perfectly grilled, meat was delicious, rice was perfect.”

“This place gets 5 stars across the board. Food, service, and atmosphere are on point. The food is light and refreshing. After sharing 2 apps, 2 entrees, a sushi roll and dessert - we were pleasantly full (but not that heavy thanksgiving meal full). The entrees aren’t large but thoughtful in flavor and presentation. With specials that not change seasonal but monthly! The service was friendly and helpful with questions. Continuous water and checking in just the right amount of time. The atmosphere is this cool retro building that has been modified for businesses. The decor and vibe plus lighting gives it a sleek comfortable atmosphere. Perfect for a date or special occasion. It also has a killer happy hour on food till 6.”

“I find this to be one of the better "build your own poke bowl" type establishments i have been to in Tucson. The ingredients are vibrant and the choices are excellent. The flavors are fresh and the staff are friendly. My only complaint is that the prices are HIGH. And i do understand the added difficulty of finding good seafood in the desert but no matter how i look at it the prices do sting even after my positive experience.”

“Funny to find a tiki car in a desert town, but there's apparently quite the market for it! We walked across The Drunk Munk after dinner on Saturday and the place was packed. We came back the next day to shop and ended up stopping in for sushi and drinks on the patio, it was a perfect afternoon. I enjoyed a pina colada before sushi roll. The patio is a great spot to people watch in the shopping and dining center. Our server was training a new-hire and seemed very rushed through the duration of our lunch. There was something odd going on with the bar I think, because our server needed to know our drink order quickly so she could get them in at the bar. Other than a sense of urgency when ordering both drinks and food, everything was great. Flavors were exactly what I was looking for- a refreshing cocktail followed by delicious sushi. It's impressive to have good sushi in the dessert, there's no water nearby!”

“Tonight was my first time visiting this place and I must say first of all, congratulations on the new location! I did not know you all were a food truck starting out. The new location is STUNNING! I believe there is a DJ booth? So cool !! I was greeted promptly, and since it was my first time eating here the lady taking my order was very patient with me and answered all my questions so shoutout to her! The food? Freaking BOMB!! I got the steak, chicken, and shrimp with fried rice and veggies.”

“The tempura was wonderful. The batter was light, the veggies were crisp and the shrimp was straight as a bean, which I loved! The spicy crab roll was very tasty as well. This is the first time we have been to this restaurant. We went for "Happy Hour" prices on the majority of the rolls. It was well worth stopping in and we will go back more often. We've tried 3 other places in the Gilbert/Chandler area, this is the favorite. We had wonderful sushi in the state where we previously lived, so we've become picky on what we like. This place passes.”

“Inside felt cozy & welcoming. I came in for take-out about 20 min before close & they were accomodating, staff was pleasant & personable. I ordered a firecracker, monkey balls, & baked Dynamite roll. The Firecracker was surprisingly bland.. like it needed a dipping sauce or something. The Monkey Balls were excellent! The crisp on the breading really sealed the deal.. I'll definitely be ordering those again. The Dynamite roll was a little disappointing compared to it's description & Dynamite rolls I've had elsewhere. It was still good, it just wasn't what I was expecting & what I had a craving for. It's something I might again, albeit with different expectations next time. I definitely still prefer Savage Sushi, but his menu is much more limited than here so it really depends on what you have a taste for.”
