“For 30 years I have had the pleasure of eating here at least twice a month. It is one of my favourite restaurants in Bangkok. Simple, never fails and the tastiest Ramen in the city. It is as authentic as one can get. Clean, fast and with standards that have carried over the decades. My dish’s of choice are Gilsa and Curry Ramen. Always hot, good and as good as that first bowl I had so many years ago.”

“Stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and no regrets going in. We were served immediately and treated like honoured guest by the boss. First up, we got 2 items from the grilled section. The grilled pork shoulder and the grilled chicken. The pork was fantastic, slightly charred to bring out its flavour and eating it together with onions and their home made Japanese Thai dip is perfect. The grilled chicken was just normal, meat was tough and slightly dry even though it’s thigh meat. Next up, we ordered the Fukuoka traditional Wagyu stomach soup. The soup base and vegetables were nice but we couldn’t really appreciate the Wagyu stomach, felt like we were eating rubber, very stretchy and springy. If you like this texture and have the teeth to chew then go for it. It’s good nevertheless. For mains, we got the standard Bara Chirashi Don. Quite ordinary, not bad but nothing out of this world. Another item we ordered was the salmon sushi roll (without rice). This one was not good at all. The feel and texture was off, too lumpy and soft and the big chucks of ginger inside took away all the taste of the rest of this dish. Overall still fully satisfied with this standard Japanese meal. No frills and fuss free and importantly nice comfortable chill atmosphere for dinner.”

The Tori Paltan is some of the best ramen I’ve had in Bangkok. The chicken is surprisingly cooked ”just enough”, just as delicate as your typical pork ramen. Definetively give this place a try.”

“Come use the services at this branch very rarely. But every time I come, I always encounter bad service. I walked into the store and none of the employees were interested. It's like we're the elements. People who came later ordered food first. Very discriminatory A male employee places an order with a bang. Serving food as if not willing to serve I used to go to eat around ten o'clock. Employees talk loudly and are not considerate of customers. The atmosphere is like being at a fresh market. Please improve as well.”

“Service leaves some to be desired I'm afraid. My girlfriend and I visited here around 4pm. We had premium buffet menu. Ordering system was pretty straightforward, though it took more than 10 minutes for us to have the ordered dishes on our table even though there were no other customers in the restaurant. As buffet deal was with the time limit, swifter serving would have been much needed. I recommend you to try here when it's rather busy. As we were the only customers, there was no one else to take dishes from the conveyor so pretty much everything on the conveyor was looking dry and sad. It was a fun experience though !”
