“The hotel is located near the "botanical garden" and is near the airport. From the Hakodate station you can reach the hotel by bus (96 towards the airport for example) or by tramway with a little walk at the end (from Yunokawa tramway stop to the hotel - 900m). The hotel itself is fancy, everything is clean and pretty, one can see that there were some designers involved. The check-in process was easy, but you will have to choose your breakfast time in advance. The room is tiny for this kind of hotel (but I had not the biggest one available). In the room, a bed, a flat screen TV, a round table with one chair and some desk with fridge, safe (ultra small), kettle and tea platter inside. The room also has AC and a humidifier. In the bathroom, a small sink, a Toto washlet and a bath. The shower system in the bath was good (pressure/temperature) and the provided washing products were very nice, especially the body soap. The breakfast is "crazy", it's hard to think of something not available, I don't know the price of the breakfast (mine was included) but go for it, it's worth every yen. To name some dishes: burger, meats, sea food, curry, rice, soups, danish, milk products, etc Regarding the onsen, it's located on 12F and there are two options: public baths or private baths (for a fee). The public baths are clean, there's enough washing stations. The baths are separated in two sections: inside and outside both are enjoyable (but beware of the cold air outside). Overall, I highly recommend staying there, for a zen breakaway it's perfect. Tips: - there's a Lawson at walking distance (out the hotel follow the road taking your right then cross the bridge) - I think using the tramway for moving around is best (one every 8 minutes, max price 260¥)”

But driving around, I honestly don’t know how much better the other hotels are. Location wise, it’s conveniently located to many attractions. At night, the place gets incredibly dark and quiet, but you can explore around the area for places to eat. But speaking as a foreigner, especially one whose command is poor, you may not always be welcomed”

“This is a semi basic Japanese style hotel. I’ll share the good and the bad (winter season) The Good - I’m surprised with the quality of the food. Both dinner and breakfast. It was a lot but the freshness of the seafood, the quality of the tamagoyaki, all speak heaps. The hot water is Moor-sama hot spring, so it felt very smooth and the temperature was just right, so I was able to take a long, relaxing bath. “If you have been sightseeing the whole day, the last thing you want to do is to travel a LONG distance back to your hotel. I wanted a hotel that was further away from the indecent bars & clubs, so I chose this hotel. What I did not factor into my decision before booking was that I had to walk a 10-minute journey with a sore back and aching legs, ON TOP of carrying my shopping bags. Please consider what I wrote above before booking your hotel. I liked that my room was spacious because I intentionally booked a wider room. However, an incident happened that made me displeased with the service of the staff. One day, after staying for about a week, I came back and discovered they had prepared only two towels instead of three for the 3 of us. So I called the front desk and asked them to kindly bring me one more towel. Do you know what they said?! Since your child is staying for free, we have decided not to provide an extra towel for her.(!) This piece of information was provided in a very curt manner by a male staff. I was taken aback. I wanted to ask them about the sudden change in policy, but I was too exhausted from standing and walking the whole day, so I quickly down the phone and wondered aloud, "Gosh, so now my 9 year old daughter and I have to share a bath towel." I recall seeing a male staff at the front desk when I walked past the reception a few minutes ago and I wonder if the speaker was him or not because, I am sorry to say this but, he looked mean. That mean face and that mean voice matched together perfectly. It has to be him because there was no other male staff at the front desk. I wish they did not penny pinch guests in this way. It spoilt my overall impression of the hotel. I don't think I want to stay there again.”

“My boss selected this hotel from my business visit to Tomokomai. The front desk staff didn't speak much english, but they were polite and friendly. The registration didn't take much time. The rooms were clean and all amenities were included. Everything is explained in english as well. The breakfast buffet was great. The hotel has its own parking, which was full when we arrived. So we were asked to park at a public parking lot and the ticket was paid for by the hotel. We also received 2000yen food vouchers which i believe are issued only to hokkaido residents.”
