Peggy's Skylight

Closed until 12:00 PM

3 George St, Nottingham NG1 3BH, United Kingdom

“It was a real privilege just to be part of this 5th birthday celebration at Peggy's. Born out of a love for good music and food. Even a local power cut couldn't stop the heartfelt performances. Service and ambience pure class. We were 3 generations and it bridged the gap effortlessly. Will be back for more. Thank you.”

The Brunswick

1 Holland Rd, Brighton and Hove, Hove BN3 1JF, United Kingdom

“I attended a modular synth jam night and really enjoyed it. The outside space was spacious and easy to get a table. The drinks were really nice and good prices. I didn't eat but it looked pretty decent to me. The entertainment space was really well equipped and all the necessary facilities were nearby. I guess the only mild quibble is the slightly arrogant bar staff person I came across.”

The Cockpit

Closed until 12:00 PM

7 St Andrew's Hill, London EC4V 5BY, United Kingdom

“Typical London’s pub, place is small but cosy and has its own history to tell! Amazing ales to taste, it is worth the stop here. Also prices are lower with respect to other pubs in the city. Recommended!”

The Palm Tree

Closed until 12:00 PM

127 Grove Rd., Bow, London E3 5BH, United Kingdom

“A unique time capsule pub - nothing changed since 1977. Clearly a local boozer but Kerry the landlady couldn't be friendlier to all visitors. Live music from Friday to Sunday evenings so no doubt that's the best time to come. Just one word of warning - it's cash only, so make sure you bring some so you don't miss out.”

“Thank you Reece for great service even though the bar was fully booked. You still managed to accommodate us.”

Jack Solomons Club
4.2
( 8 reviews )

41 Great Windmill St, London W1D 7NB, United Kingdom

“A very nice bar, and it’s quite hidden in central London. The bouncer is quite friendly. A queue can build up (5 or 6 people Deep), but the queue finishes quickly, and you will be inside in no time. There is a small seating area upstairs when you walk in.. but there is plenty more downstairs. There is a free cloakroom downstairs, and there are toilets. When you go downstairs, the atmosphere is amazing. But it’s very dark in there and that can be annoying when trying to look at the menu. The menu is small, and it’s hard to see what they have since the font is small and the room is very dark. Service was really good. I ordered the “gold digger” cocktail, around £14, decent drink. Taste more like whisky and soda than a cocktail. Overall a pleasant experience.”

Jazz After Dark Ltd
3.9
( 8 reviews )

9 Greek St, London W1D 4DQ, United Kingdom

“The Jazz on offer at this place is a karaoke standard, not even worth the £20 we had to pay to get in. The singer did not have a proper voice, and the less said about the music, the better it is…. The food was awful, the burgers seemed to have been reheated from the lunch, the chips were hard and dry, probably frozen, and were the worst we ever had. The rest of the food was appalling, and they did not even have some Tabasco! We had to run away…. Wonderful name for the place, but worse than a pit hole…. AVOID!”

The Dolphin Tavern
4.2
( 8 reviews )

44 Red Lion St, London WC1R 4PF, United Kingdom

“Lovely, traditional corner pub in Holborn. An unpretentious boozer selling a couple of well-kept cask ales; Landlord and Ghost Ship at the time of my visit. Plus other drinks and traditional pub grub. Popped in mid-afternoon during a lull in customers and had a good chat about the history of the pub, with the old clock, photograph and text description being pointed out to me. The text reads: 'THE DOLPHIN TAVERN - hit by an H.E. Bomb dropped by Zepp L.13. on the 9th of Sept 1915. 3 men were killed. The old clock was recovered with the hands stopped at 10.40 p.m. - the time the tavern was hit.' (HE = high explosive.) I love unspoilt, traditional pubs. Definitely worth a visit.”
