“I'd give the Lockhart 4.5 as a restaurant but 3.5 as a pub. The food is great, especially the amazing chicken wings. Restaurant service is really good. Great roasts. Popping in for a pint is more difficult experience than it used to be though. Seating only so one has to wait to be seated, wait for a beer menu, wait for the order to be taken, then wait for the beer to be delivered. It can sometimes take 15 mins from entering to getting a drink, if a table is available. Choice of beer remains good, but I sense a slight decline in variety in recent years.”

“Small, authentic Korean eatery. Came on Saturday but the queue was very long I had to abandon but came again Wednesday lunch and no queue. Very small inside with roughly 15 seats on communal tables. I’m also impressed with how clean it is and how attentive the staff are. I ordered the vegetable bibimbap (simple, delicious) and the vegetable pancake (yummy). Very good prices. Will be back to try the other items!”

“Edit: the cost of the meal is not reflective of the great value. The reason it was high is that I think we ate and drank enough for 4/5 people :-) One the best dinners out I have had for years. Food was out of this world, Service was amazing and the experience was one that I will keep going back for. 100% recommend this restaurant as worth the short walk up from town and you will enjoy the walk back as I need it after eating so much delicious food.”

“The staff are really nice and helpful ! Dishes are served quickly . The mojito is made with pineapple and ginger, topped with lemonade. All the noodles and rices dishes are so flavourful and juicy! But the stone rice can be hotter and the bottom should be better with crispy based. The fries chicken is so crispy and not feeling too stuff or oily!light butter style, tender meat . The cheese kimchi fries is the only thing I would complain that the cheese was not melted and the fries are not warm enough . But it is still a nice meal . Will be back !”

“The pork ribs were too good! I found it to be a bit sweet but it's extremely flavourful and the meat was perfect. It also comes with a bowl of rice - a great combo! Pictures of what I had ordered and how I managed to eat the entire bowl! Would definitely recommend pork ribs. Also, thank you to the girl who waited on us and thoroughly explained the items on the menu ❤️ Personally, quantity-wise.. the entire dish was good enough for me. Didn't need to order starters. “Best fried chicken I've had in my life. Kimbap ans dumplings were perfect aswell. The spicy food can be really spicy though, so be careful. Was busy but waiters were polite and got the orders right. “I always get the okonomyiaki, it’s really good, and it’s nice to have a place that offers something different from the same menu every other Japanese restaurant in the city has. The service is always very friendly and welcoming. I had the cheesecake for the first time on my last visit, and it was exquisite. It was one of those moments I had to put my laptop away (I was on a lunch break) and just close my eyes and enjoy every bite. Would eat the cheesecake everyday if I could!”

“We went to Miga for lunch and it was absolutely fantastic. The staff are helpful and friendly but the freshly cooked food is the star of the show. We got a chicken combo starter which was a selection of crispy fried bites with different sauces and flavours and it was incredible. The bbq chicken ramen was one of the best I've had while the bbq pork yakisoba was equally delicious. Will definitely be coming back.”

“Tasty authentic food, great for a change and different to anything else I’ve had in Bristol. There isn’t many veggie mains (we went for 2) to pick from but there’s some great veggie starters — definitely recommend the tempura vegetables. The restaurant is owned by husband and wife. The wife does the cooking and husband is front of house. He told us since covid they’ve lost a lot of a their regular locals and have struggled to recruit staff so it’s just the two of them running the entire restaurant. Despite going through treatment at the moment and being in a lot of pain, the husband had a continuous smile on his face and was so sweet, kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend going here for a lovely atmosphere and personal experience.”

I love that the servers aren’t hovering over you they leave you to enjoy why you came for (specifically the Mandoo Guk & chicken wings 👌🏻) You will find many people will complain about the servers but if you pay attention they do both front of house and back so if you go in with this info it may help with your decision to dine so people don’t cry about it later. “[All you can eat Sunday menu] We didn’t book a table, Sunday afternoon was very busy in the restaurant. The service was very very slow. Some staff seem clueless and almost too busy to manage the whole restaurant. A good selection of food on the all you can eat menu, but there were no standardisation on the quality of the food. One of the pancakes came up all burnt. Portion was also different every time when it arrived. Nevertheless, the fried chicken and beef bibimbap were absolutely gorgeous! The cleanliness of the restaurant could do with some improvement. Some of the dishes are not the cleanest. The floor is very sticky and requires a good clean. Due to the reason that they serve hot stone dishes, the restaurant can be very stuffy and stinky with cooking smokes. I would think the restaurant will need better extraction fans. Overall an ok experience, would come again!”

“Great restaurant. The atmosphere is really nice in here and the staff are very friendly. The food is to put it simply, delicious. Don't expect large portions, it's not that type of restaurant. However, the quality shines, it's very comforting food. The price for the small dishes is very reasonable, but quite expensive for the larger plates, however that's probably just the economics of eating out these days. Oh and side note, the decor is awesome. Just remember it has no parking, so you will have to find somewhere in town.”
