“Mixed Experience: I recently visited Gaja Korean Bar drawn in by its inviting street vibe. While the atmosphere and service were commendable, my dining experience took a hit due to some issues with the food. The pork belly, though expertly fried, surprisingly lacked flavor, leaving me wanting more depth in taste. The Korean fried chicken, described as such, ended up resembling a buffalo chicken tender with ranch dressing rather than the anticipated Korean flair. This was an unexpected letdown. Additionally, the crispy dumplings failed to live up to their name – lacking the desired crunch. The food fell a little short. Was it good? Yes, but it wasn’t enough for me to ponder when I immediately will return. However, I am up to give it another whirl because the team seems legit. “Great since each person had their own pot. The price is reasonable considering the amount of food they give per person. Came as a party of 5, we all got aprons which was great. They gave a variety of vegetables and a good amount of meat. There are some inconsistencies with the interior design (could use warmer lighting), however overall was a positive experience and would consider coming back.”

“Mukja is very tasty. Even though I don't typically Ike spicy foods, the kimchi was FANTASTIC!! I couldn't resist. The wings are very good as well. The food has so much flavor. This place is a vibe if you choose to dine in. I highly recommend it! Also I appreciate that there is street parking available for pickup orders.”

“From the moment you step in, the atmosphere warmly greets you with inviting, upscale decor and design. Server: above and beyond polite, genuine, knowledgeable, and professional. A+ "Pan fried" Dumplings: not pictured as they were sent back. Two drawbacks; they were shallow fried in a wok, and were completely fried vs. pan fried. This resulted in a puff that was twenty percent filled with pork and vegetables at best. They stated they are working to correct this. I did ask beforehand as to how they were prepared. Salt 'n pepper Squid: excellent preparation. Right amount of seasoning. Tender and flavorful! Could use jalapeños, not only as described, but almost expected with this dish. If, what was served, was indeed minced jalapeños...perhaps sliced would work better as they get lost and are not as complimentary to the dish as they should be. Overall, a great option to start with, nonetheless. Jjajangmyun: fantastic. Exactly what you hope to expect. Savory black bean sauce, vegg, and a few pieces of pork. House noodles, garnished with cucumber and a side plate of Danmuji, black bean paste and white onion. Jambong: or "Jjamppong, a spicy seafood noodle soup. A little one note in flavor with slightly overcooked seafood. While not ultimately my thing, I can see why it's a staple. Will be happy to return again to try more offerings from the menu.”

“This is our family’s favorite restaurant recently. I went twice in one week for my bday week and mom chose Oystra as her bday meal too. We got the omakase to share amongst three people and it was more than enough food. We left feeling full and happy. The food quality is amazing for the price and the menu continues to change so we still have the element of surprise even after going multiple times. The decor is very cute and seasonal. We love it here and will continue to be back.”
