“We came to Gunbae after Brookfield Mall closed at 8:30 pm, looking for kimchi fried rice. They didn't have it, so we ordered the seafood stew, fried chicken & seafood pancake. The food was excellent as was the service. The wings were slightly cold so the waiter quickly brought new ones. Serving sizes are larger than expected. There's a nice looking karaoke bar downstairs. Highly recommended for Korean food near the World Trade Center area.”

“Finally made it to Oji Mi! What a beautiful meal, excellent execution, and wow… top quality ingredients. The duck was flawless no sinew perfectly rendered fat and crispy skin. The plates are small. But the entire experience is quite filling. The team here really knows their roots and makes sure all the bases are covered for the traditional flavors of Korea. The service was excellent and attentive, explaining each course, and all courses were served beautifully and with care and great pride. We sat in the main dining room, and I had a full view of the kitchen. Was very entertaining to see how calm and purposeful the kitchen performed for a full restaurant!”

“The food and sides were yummy. The staff wasn’t super friendly but the service was attentive. The rib dumplings, short rib, and brisket were delicious. Also liked the potato noodles, tofu, mashed potato with corn, and broccoli. Atmosphere was nice and quiet for a Sunday afternoon lunch. The food can be a little pricey but it was an expedience as well as a meal and my first time trying this out. I don’t think it’ll be the last!”

“Rich flavors! Had the dweji gomtang and kimchi Mando. They only have one main dish and one side dish. Which both are totally awesome. The dweji gomtang has a very rich flavors but light at the same time. Clear soup not oily at all. It’s very comforting especially when you have it at cold weather. The pork is so sliced very thin that makes it so juicy and easy to chew. Dip it into the sauce to spice it up a lil bit. The kimchi mandoo is really well made. I can taste the kimchi and pork although its not too strong but when you dip it into the sauce, your world just spins around in joy. You need to reserve beforehand to secure your spot. It have limited seating; 6-7 persons max. The service is fast and accommodating. Would definitely go for another round in the near future!”

“We celebrated our anniversary there, and the food was amazing! Wagyu was speechless, melted into your tongue, the cold noodle was my favorite, as the meat was a little bit greasy, and the cold noodle balanced the flavor. The sea urchin truffle rice, I love it, ate half, half to go. Overall worth having dinner there.”

“Fyi, they have changed to Chinese hot pot. Google Map hasn’t updated. I really didn’t like the experience here. We got the hotpot, which was $60!!!! That is pricey, not to mention we also had to order $10 extra veggies and $3 ramen because the hotpot only had meat. The hotpot came out quickly, but we waited 30 mins for the pot to boil!!! The staff said that the fire was weak and then they had to brought our hotpot to the kitchen to boil it, which took another 10 minutes. The hotpot is nothing special, and I feel like the ingredients, except for the meat, were frozen foods. And I would say the hotpot could only serve 2 people. A plus point was that the staff was really caring and was really sorry when we had to wait that long. But definitely not worth $73 and would not come here again.”
