“I have been contemplating writing this or not, but I feel like I should. I was pretty disappointed in the restaurant. The prices are pretty high for portions and drink quality. My main issue was that my rice and beans had a soapy taste to them. So either the plate was not fully cleaned or soap was in the water. Either way ick. Otherwise my squid was cooked well, my partner enjoyed his ropa vieja, and the yuca was decent. Inside I feel like it's a German tourists interpretation of Cuba with souvenirs strewn about a generally German style dining room, but maybe some people like that. The server wasn't the most friendly and she seemed a little confused by my Spanish. It's not like Vaqueros which I feel is extremely authentic from the decor, to the staff (all Latin), to the food. Response to Restaurant: ¿Por qué respondes en español? La mitad de su personal no puede hablarlo. Y un plato que sabe a jabón, especialmente un arroz, no se debe a un plato sucio. ¡Se debe a demasiado jabón! Doy mi opinión y puedes tomarlo o dejarlo.”

“Had a great experience at the Salt & Silver Latin America restaurant! To start it off, we had some of the best pisco sours we have ever tasted. Each course was not just very delicious, but also beautifully arranged with amazing colors and textures. The fish dishes were probably my favorite, but I must say, the vegetarian dishes were out of this world as well. The service was so friendly and helpful as well which really improves the overall dining experience! Overall we had a great time here and can definitely recommend it to anyone visiting or living in Hamburg!”

The bill was surprisingly reasonable, making our restaurant lunch experience even more enjoyable. While the service did take a bit longer than expected, the fantastic food made every minute of waiting entirely worthwhile.”

“Nice quaint Tapas place. Very cozy interiors, kind staff and good food. The atmosphere is very nice. A lot of locals frequent the place for its food and drinks. It was actually a pit stop for my husband and I on our way to Austria. Would definitely be coming back here. It's not only an ideal date place, it's also a great place to spend with friends. I like the small tapas dishes that you can share amongst one another. Would recommend this to anyone.”

“Tiny restaurant with very nice food and atmosphere. The service was very slow, the staff was pretty unfriendly, and they didn't accept card under 30€. When we were counting our coins to pay, the waiter got very impatient for no good reason. Also, the breakfast menu is served until 13.30, and you can't order from the lunch menu until then. The food was good, but for those reasons I wouldn't come back.”

“It was once again very tasty. We were served very nicely and friendly. Unfortunately, it was a bit annoying that there was a family sitting next to us where the child (about 3 years old) was allowed to watch a film a little too loudly on their cell phone. But even worse was the father...who was playing very loudly on his cell phone. I think it's sad that you can't even go out to eat without your cell phone anymore. But the food was again delicious and the service was great!”

There was too.much happening on the plate, with fruits and vegetables- everything covered in pesto and a butter sauce. Overall... not so good. My partner ordered the fish filet and vegetables- that was okay, but not impressive.”

“First thing you would think there’s Mexican food but that’s not the case. It’s a decent restaurant for Germany but not for anyone who’s used to Mexican food. Quesadilla was the best thing they’ve offered. Guacamole is prepared using a blender! You’ll notice the smooth watery texture. You’re looking for tacos, it’s served only on Tuesdays! Atmosphere is nice in the restaurant and you’ll enjoy watching the sweet old pug limping around.”
