“I got the surf and turf and the steak was cooked very well. The rice was well seasoned and it was an altogether well put excellent meal. I came back the next day and armed with the knowledge that the kitchen was good, i tried the chicken mole. Mole in my opinion can be either good or horrifically bad because the ingredients involved can vary so much so I'm not adventurous with trying it normally but I had some faith after the tierra y mar dish. I'm so glad I did. It was exceptionally good and I'm going to venture out and say this is the best mole I've ever had. The sauce was perfect and the chicken was tender. If I come back to this area I'm definitely coming back to try more of the menu.”

“Very nice atmosphere. Good variety. However i wasn’t a fan of anything we ordered. I came in due to the posts we saw on their IG about table made guacamole, and a few other items but unfortunately everything i saw online was not being offered when we visited. Presentation of food and drinks was good. I loved the mango drink i had very delicious. However all the food was lacking flavor and the consistency of the rice was horrible way too mushy.”

“Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and it was a great experience. They having a dinning area upstairs which is quieter than the bar area, they also have ample outdoor seating with multiple heaters to keep you warm on cooler days/nights. Our food was fantastic. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. They had a descent beer selection l, but I was most impressed by the bartenders margarita. My wife and I ordered a couple margs and when I saw them coming out in pint glasses I knew they were going to be good. They were made the proper way by not just throwing tequila and sour mix in a glass and calling it good. Overall it was a great meal with multiple TV's to watch football and a great atmosphere.”

“Went in on 1/21/2024 had Fernando as a server and it was great. He was very friendly and attentive. Food came out great and Fernando made sure we got everything we needed to enjoy our meals. 10/10 definitely a go with family especially with the kids eat free deal on Sundays. “CASH ONLY! it's a nice restaurant with some good food. I ordered chicken tacos, a platter, a chicken burrito. The tacos were just okay because they don't have any sauce in it, felt dry. The platter was good it came with chicken, shrimp, beans, and rice. Everything on the platter tasted real good. The burrito was my favorite because it came with alot of chicken and was tasty. Anything extra you want like lime or sauce is extra money. I asked for some extra lime and they said 1 dollar per slice. Idk why they charge for sauce and lime. The atmosphere was well put together. Overall a cheap place with decent food. Would recommend to try but ofc there's better places close by.”

Nice and roast, enjoyable flavors, a great bite in a town ruled by chain restaurants. Got 3 tacos. 2 authentic street tacos and I specialty tacos. Pork was distracting salty..and greasy. The chorizo was so greasy it ruined the third tacos tortilla. Rice was wetter than I like yet some kernels were crunchy and totally uncooked. Beans were fine. Servers were great throughout the evening - attentive, friendly, and responsive.”

“I have been to Gato many times..it had been awhile since I was last there. I ordered the street corn nachos..and a classic margarita. The drink didn't taste right..it was sour..The nachos..had hardly any queso on them..and a ton of Pico. The chips were not the same either..at one time their food was amazing..I asked the group I was with..if the food was the same as before..They all said NO..it wasn't as crowded as it use to be on Friday either..could have been the holiday weekend..”

Everything was cooked to perfection- the prime pork chop was one of the best chops I have ever had! And my husband loved this short rib special, which was also delicious! Service was extremely kind and attentive and they do not rush you through your meal, which was much appreciated. Restaurant is clean and comfortable. “We arrived at 5:30pm on a Saturday and were immediately seated. Our server asked us for drinks and appetizers. Shortly after we were given a basket of chips with salsa (a bit spicy) and a white creamy sauce that was delicious. Roughly 3-5 minutes later our server came back and asked us for our food. I kid you not within 8 minutes of ordering the chefs had our food prepared and brought to our table. I've NEVER experienced service that fast before. I ordered chorizo street tacos and my girlfriend ordered the nachos supreme and we were both fed and full by the time we finished our meal. I will be back again without a doubt. Our server Alex was amazing”
