“I don't know if it's still a soft opening or what, but the staff looked like they were in over their heads for dinner service. They didn't have enough menus and the waiter didn't even know the specials. We waited 30 minutes to get a drink order in and an hour before one of us ate. The fish and shrimp tacos were poorly dressed with no flavour and the chorizo on the nachos were cold. Such potential in the new space so hope they can turn it around.”

“I don't often give out five stars, but this dining experience in Kingston was very good and suited my needs perfectly that evening. Impromptu dinner with my mother, and we were greeted by a pleasant hostess who got us into a table suiting my mother's accessibility concerns. The table was set impeccably, and the service from the waiter was on 👉 point. Lots of delicious food clearly prepared and served with love and attention to detail. What a great evening, and I will be back and send others to this fantastic hot spot.”

“This was a surprise find, we stumbled across this gem of a restaurant without trying to find a Peruvian eatery. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. They knew their offerings well and provided excellent descriptions and recommendations. The dishes were authentic and full of thoughtful touches that made them stand out. The ceviche was simply outstanding, especially with the roasted maze and micro greena. The skewers were out of this world with an indescribable smoky flavour. The salad was refreshing with a healthy mixture of shredded watermelon radish and mango dressing.”

“Such a unique and gorgeous little spot right downtown. B'Spoke is across from City Hall (Barrie) in the perfect location... slightly off the beaten path off the downtown strip. Very quaint and trendy, with a hip crowd, this place checks all of the boxes. Run as a "market" style restaurant, there are several menus to choose from. Initially, this seemed a bit awkward, but seeing as myself and my group of three all ordered off different menus, apparently it works! (See menus in photos) Their food was incredible. We all said we would be back to try EVERYTHING else. Their drink menu and specialty drinks were like nothing I've ever tasted. That foam you see on top of my special cold coffee was like mousse, in texture. Thick and delicious. Very strong and classy with flavour to match. This restaurant is HUGELY deserving of all accolades. Definitely a different concept, which is extremely refreshing and I'm extremely glad to have tried it. I've already got plans on my calendar to meet friends there. It's a perfect spot for all outings.”

“I will say everything was nice exept we took the fajitas beef and chicken for 2 ...I don't know why they put so much red cabbages and so little guacamole and sour cream these 2 items r the most needed and don't suggest the beef the beef was stringny hard with grizzles we mention to waitress she answered UT depends on who is cooking but everything was good other than this the coffees brandy and kolua the appetizer with chips and dip were so good!”

“I really wanted a mofongo and as soon as we step in we were greeting, very nice, everything clean. Great service and team work. Drink were great is hard to fine good mojitos and with my favorite flavor, passion fruit. Food was awesome! The fried cheese with the guava sauce was spectacular and the mofongo stuffed with seafood mixed was great. Everything I wanted and was looking for. The amount of serving is good. Definitely recommended and can't wait to go back. I gave a good review last year but I am not sure what happened in a year. I wanted to go for my birthday weekend we got there at 7:37 and they said it was already closed. In the internet it says they close at 8pm they didn't even want to do take out. So I tried again and went back. Anything that I ordered to drink it was a no we don't have it; no margarita, no mojito, no piña coloda so we ended up having coke. Food was good a slitly salty the sauce. The fried cheese was oversized too Huge and the inside wasn't well cooked and was fried in a oil that I could taste "carne frita". The waitress forgot the corn stick and I ask to not bring it no more and she said if they were cook she was bringing them like it was supposed to be appetizer. We ask for desserts and she said they did not have no desserts. If is someone they know and see and are budys they get treated better.”

“A small spot for arepas and other South American food. Firstly, the servers were extremely friendly and explained to me very clearly the items that I would enjoy since I have dietary restrictions. So kudos the servers. However the Rumbera arepa I had did not meet my expectations. I was told it was pulled pork but I did not find it to be pulled pork as you can see in the image. The cheese that was added was still cold and felt like it was store bought. It would have been better if they grilled the arepa for some time so that the cheese would melt. I am glad the server packed some chilli oil because that did help with the flavour. Finally, the arepa you see in the image attached was >$18 (after tax) which I think is a bit overpriced. Fantastic staff and service but the food and pricing should be looked at in a little more detail.”

“We drove 1 hour to celebrate our anniversary to Selva, we were so excited, the art in the walls makes it looks like a really cool place, BUT it was such a disappointing experience having dinner there. Waiter was kind of rude, and just a bad service, besides taking our order and bring in the food, not even a HI HOW ARE YOU?? not friendly at all! the worst service I have had in a long time! I had better service from waiters in cheaper places, or I guess I expected more of an expensive restaurant. Big problem was: I ordered Diet Pepsi, first one tasted like just water, I asked to change it, but second one came with same taste, like soda. I asked the waiter again if it was fountain pop maybe the machine was broken, he said he opened the can of Pepsi himself, looking at me like if I was crazy and I was giving him a hard time with my drink… how come the pop didn’t have a flavour.?. I asked if he could please bring me the pop to the table with just a glass of ice, after opening the can myself and trying it, again tasted like sparkling water, so I take a look to the can and turned out it was expired from 7 months ago. Waiter never came back after to check again if I wanted something else to drink, if everything was ok or even he didn’t offer something else to drink, he totally avoid our table until where we where done with all food. Finally, he comes to the table and I told him about the expiration date, he didn’t offer an apology or another option to drink, I had to tell him well I will just drink this one glass of water I have had all night, not even one refill of the water at least. For food We ordered tacos, they were good presentation and ok flavour, my partner ordered a steak with the side of fries, they bring the fries first and the steak after more than 15 minutes, so he was done eating the fries by the time his steak came to the table, he said the fries where the best, but the steak was a very bad one, we also had calamari it was ok. Chocolate dessert was just bad, looked so good, but was just no tasty.. We left so disappointed feeling like I would not come back to eat and spend $150 on such a bad customer service and ok food. OWNERS PLEASE tell your waitresses and waiters to be MORE FRIENDLY AND also to treat customers better, IS NOT SO HARD TO BE NICE AND TALK TO CLIENTS in a nice way, or to offer something in exchange when drinks are bad,,, I felt like I tipped the waiter for absolutely no reason, because his job was poorly done. Also, if prices are so high at least check expiration dates of food and drinks, please!”
