“Lovely place. going up the cable car, I did not expect that there would be a small town, with monuments, cafes, inhabitants and the best Italian specialties - cannoli siciliano and genovese buns. walking through the narrow streets of the city of ERICE you will see many monuments, beautiful tenement houses, chapels and churches. Interestingly, life functions normally there! People live there, go out on terraces, balconies, shops are open, they take out garbage (even when tourists go), there are chotels, Italian language is heard everywhere - like in a fish market and a lot of tourists eager to see this wonderful place. I didn't have so much time, but it's worth going there along the trail for visitors, which is in front of the entrance to the city and the ticket office. the trail leads around and through the city, where you will see the ruins of the castle, towers and other architectural monuments. For MTB and Downhill enthusiasts, I recommend the descent from ERICE to Marsala on a gravel road, which is gentle and you can easily go there on foot! I recommend visiting this place-Erice as well as the center of Marsala, because these are places worth visiting while in Sicily”

“Pros: the location, right next to the beach and a little town. Cons: the toilets are outdated, with standing toilets and very small showers, I could barely take a shower on it. The staff is rude, specially this men that smells alcohol a lot and drives his bike the entire day inside the camping with intimidating posture, it is extremely uncomfortable. The garbage system is ridiculous: we had specific times to go to the garbage and there was a staff member watching if we did the recycling the way they wanted. The overall experience was negative so I would not recommend this camping specially because of the staff posture.”

“Ideal location with beautiful vistas on and access to the surrounding glacier and peaks. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere in the dining area. Rooms are clean and ok but quite cold throughout the day (heating is only turned on in the evening). The structure and facilities are maintained but definitely need some renovation in the next years to come. Amounts of plastic used are enormous (cups for drinks/ breakfast items etc. but might be owed to hygiene laws or lack of water). Prices are fairly high, irrespective of the location and costs for transport and logistics. Around the region (also cross-border) huts take less for the same.”

“I was in Montecampione 6 years ago, there was a lot of snow but the roads to go up the mountain were very clean. I rented in front of the ski lifts... beautiful, I rented boots and equipment. Afternoon gym for 2 hours. When I didn't feel like it to cook (the market is equipped), I would go down for pizza or dinner....I would go back, in February during the carnival period...very lively.This year it goes from February 5th to the 15th..”

The sea bass plate I had with scalloped potatoes, tomato, zucchini, and Kalamata olives was one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had. Felt very fortunate to stumble across this place as it appears to be some sort of resort and is not listed as a restaurant. Loved the atmosphere too along the beach — great set up and fantastic lunch. Thank you for having us! Hope to be back one day!”
