“This is an excellent park, lots of green space, paths to follow and a couple of play parks for kids. Plus a cycling track. The only negative is there are no public toilets which is a real disappointment as it's a great park to picnic and spend the day. The council really needs to open public toilets to make the park fully accessible to all people. This park is about a 30 minute walk along the canal from New Islington (lovely, easy walk) or you can take the tram from Manchester and get off at The Ethiad, the park is 5 minutes from there.”

“It's a quarter to nine on an overcast, damp and surprisingly cool Sunday morning in April .... Spring in the UK then! We've made an early start to the local recycling centre, probably the first of many as we attempt to tidy the loft and the garage so we have an assortment of things to go, so many, not sure which area they all go in. No problem. A helpful worker checked through with us what we had and explained everything. Section by section we empty the car and then I see it .... the Second Hand Saloon!! must have a look when we finish. A few more helpful directions to make sure we are doing right and it's time to wander over to the Saloon. This is a great way to recycle and reuse. Going to your local recycling centre can be a dirty and frustrating task but here I am smiling, happy to be here with the most helpful and cheerful workforce ( don't be fooled by the stern look on his face, it's all for the camera) who are polite, happy to give you the time of day, constantly working to keep the place as clean and as tidy as a place like this can be ..... just brilliant. I've wanted to write a review about them before because this is not something new, I've been coming here for a long time and it just gets better and better. Compliments to the whole team who work here and thanks for putting a smile on our faces on a grey day.”

“It doesn’t seem to matter if you book a redelivery on a specific date, as they redeliver your mail whenever they choose anyway and ignore your online request. New opening hours are a joke too, why even bother opening at all? From the sheer number of recent negative reviews, it looks like staff have stopped caring whether they do a good job or not, so the collapse of Royal Mail is imminent - which isn’t a bad thing really, when they mostly deliver unlawful bills like Council Tax (a scam in itself).”
