“Pros: Friendly service, nice room, dinner buffet was quite ok. Cons: rip off, nothing is included and there is always something to pay although you have paid nearly 600 euros for one night. The rooms are really expensive but I still had to pay 2 euros for a glass of tap water for dinner?! The lunch snack was really meager (lots of mushy overcooked vegetables in too much vinegar) and the Topfenstrudel to make me feel somewhat full was over 7 euros.. Also, the hotel is not really nice. I agree with someone who said it looks like an upscale Reha clinic. No nice views from the rooms, the whole area is a architectural mess and you have pipes, roofs or car parks (noisy at 5am) in front.”

“Good camping, very clean. Unfortunately quite full, we were not able to park big camper on dedicated pitch so we parked next to main road. However, it was still ok for one night. Not giving full star rating as restaurant was opened only in the afternoon, morning coffee would be great.”

“standard rooms are a bit small but with good price value ratio; extremely kind and attentive staff; stunning nature and picturesque setting. the food is good too (we had breakfast - a lot of everything! and dinner). they have small sauna (finnish and infrared), which is included service and the fact you don't have to pay the alpine road fee is good too.”

“The family earns extra basket money through additional features. For example, we couldn't use the wellness area before moving into the room. The room was only available around 3 p.m. It's probably intentional that the rooms are only "ready" so late. What do you do on a bad weather day? You pay the additional fee and go to the wellness area. Some of the dinner wasn't warmed up properly. For such a luxurious hotel, I expect fresh cooking. However, the food was already prepared and just warmed up when we arrived. The waiters were helpful and friendly, hence the two stars. However, the owner family was not very motivated or friendly at reception. On the day of departure, the boss seemed very dismissive, according to the motto, the main thing is that the money was transferred. We will not visit the hotel again, not worth the exorbitant price.”

“I came here several nights while staying nearby for the summer and found it to be the best and most welcoming place in the Montafon. I did not stay in the rooms but visited the restaurant/bar. Gabriel and Johannes (the bartenders) were the most hospitable and friendly people I met my entire summer in Schruns. They were always helpful with coming up with drinks I would like and making me feel comfortable. I loved the live music on Tuesdays and Fridays. This was my go to spot and it should be yours too! Great environment with the best staff!”

“Beautiful setting on the side of the lake. Restaurant serving traditional Austrian cuisine. Shops 8 miles away back in Reutte, stock up before you get to camp in the Euro Spar. Only 3 stars given as we were placed on pitches that had no hard standing to sit on and it rained constantly for 2 days so a very messy job getting off pitches. Also diving club is at the end of the site and they are very noisy. Shop closes at 4pm on the dot. Lots of locals living on site. Not much room for bug motorhomes to manoeuvre. Water for topping up vans at start of site by toilet block and recycling centre.”

“We had a very nice stay there. Breakfast is really great! We arrived in the morning and got the chance to still have breakfast despite it was late for that. Fresh juices, smoothies, vegetables, fresh fruit salat, many different kind of breads and so on. Staff is really friendly! Room has a good size! You can feel they do their job with love e.g. by handing over a small present for our baby or by offering fresh apples etc.”

They understand bike touring so if you show up at the end of a long hot day with a loaded touring bike, they greet you with a smile and show you the lockup room for your bike. 😍 Breakfast and all service was excellent. The one thing we were a little bit surprised is that they are marked as charging station for e-bikes but it's provided with only 5 charging inputs. For so many bikers its way too fee. But the general rate is perfect!”
