“Would give zero stars if possible. Horrible. Don't book this hotel. The only thing that was good was the location and the service at the lobby. The real owner of this hotel should do a large investment into this place. The pool was out of order. The rooms were smelly and full of mold and cockroaches. On top of this there was no hot water to shower. We mentioned this but it wasn't fixed. No bad words about the people who are working there. They are friendly and doing their best to keep this establishment enjoyable, however, despite of their efforts it was not an enjoyable experience for us.”

“Had a great experience!! Came to celebrate my partners birthday!! The cabin was clean, cozy, great ammeneties, and just had an awesome time. The cabin is out in the woods, you feel like your in the middle of nowhere, and that's what the whole experience is about!!! You come to get away from it all...the city...the noise...traffic... There is restaurants, bars, shopping centers all within a 10minute drive from the cabin. Me and my partner had a great time...we so want to do the experience again!!! We highly recommend it!!”

“Words can not describe how incredible our stay at the Yellow Nest was, but if I had to pick one it would be magical. First and foremost the staff is absolutely incredible. I have never received such incredible service from anywhere I have stayed before. Arturo who is the main concierge is one of the most special people I've ever met. He went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure our group was taken care of throughout our 5 day stay. The grounds themselves are absolutely stunning as well. Overall Yellow Nest is such a special place to stay, and if you have a chance I'd highly recommend it. The one thing I'd say to plan for is that Yellow Nest is tucked back in the jungle, so if you want to get to downtown Tulum or the beaches it does take about 40 mins.”

“We went here for the day, where we kayaked and had lunch. The Kayaks were in good shape and kayaking in the lagoon was beautiful and relaxing, an amazing escape from the noise of life. The tacos were fabulous along with the sauces, we will definitely be back. The rooms were not open at the time of our visit so we didn't get to view them but the resort is well maintained and so I would expect the rooms would be the same.”

“These cabanas were a last minute thing, it was Saturday afternoon and all other decent hotels were full. very friendly guy at entrance - beware, google maps sends you the wrong way. Got a last cabana with one small bed, no room for putting your things, just tiny, and this for 1050 pesos. the bathroom was very roomy, hot water came quickly, so no complaint about that. The bed was horrible, very old mattress where we felt every spring. It all looks pretty improvised, nice adobe walls but ugly plywood ceiling etc. For that price it seems pretty ridiculous to us. But that's the problem with the pueblos magicos, suddenly everything is expensive and all the shabby hotels are boutique”

“The best hotel we have stayed in by far, every detail is so well thought out. We were greeted by super friendly staff and a welcome cocktail. Maids come in twice a day to prepare your room for the day / evening and leave a chocolate on the bed. Both breakfast and dinner was delicious, with great views of the sea and the sound of crashing waves. When you’re sunbathing they come round with free bottles of water in and ice bucket and the cabanas even have fans. Alain was a fantastic waiter who ensured we had everything we could possibly want. Activities are great, free yoga and meditation everyday, DJ sunset sessions and live music. Even had an outdoor cinema set up one evening. Hotel is relaxing and exclusive, set out from the centre but a short 15-20 min walk.”

You can camp or rent a cabin, the cabins are modest but they've got everything you need (including hot water) and they are in optimal conditions. Also the staff is very friendly and they've got a little store to buy food or essentials you might've forgotten.”
