“Had a fantastic break at Concierge Camping. From the ultra friendly welcome when we arrived to the moment we left everyone was so friendly and helpful and the facilities were immaculate. We enjoyed our Japanese curry over in the bar area on Friday night and greatly appreciated the heaters and blankets provided as it was freezing outside. Our pitch was large and beautifully presented with tall hedges around offering greenery and privacy - like being in our own little garden. The future plans for the site are very exciting and we are looking forward to staying on one of the new pitches. In addition to a perfect break - when we had a problem with our electricity Guy helped us in double quick time. Thank you very much -Guy. We will definitely be back to enjoy Concierge and the lovely area around.”

“After camping here twice before I was expecting a lovely time. I booked a pitch with hookup, as I have always done, I suffer with obstructive sleep apnea and I need mains power for the CPAP machine. The first comment I received from the employee, standing next to the lady on reception was "Do not charge your Tesla on this campsite". We were part of a group of children who were school friends who had been coming to the site for many years but were rammed into a corner like sardines. We were told there should be no music, not even singing, the website didn't state this. Silence was wanted, no discussion or happiness at all. The "Gestapo" enforced this with extreme prejudice. They knew we were a large group, moaned about the size of the group. We spend at lot in the shop, pizza outlet and cafe, but were not really wanted. On a poster inside the toilets they said they didn't give a sh1t about bad reviews so here you go! I won't ever visit again. Sort your rules out on your website so we are aware that you don't like children, and people enjoying themselves. If you didn't want a large group visiting then you shouldn't have accepted the booking. One to avoid in the future. Never had this issue here before this year, obviously going down hill.”

“I can't fault the site but I would have liked much more. We didn't have an awning and the rain was heavy. I imagined indoor areas to eat and hang out and that wasn't available. It's quite minimal with just one food van for two hours in the eve and a small shop. Access to the Lake is great but there's no views of it from the site and not much for teens and families otherwise.”

“What a beautiful place to visit. the lodge was bigger than we anticipated and spec of it was without fault. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and parking was directly outside. The site was very tidy, brilliantly quiet (apart from the birds in the morning), and the staff were all lovely. They were especially helpful with directions for the best way to get into town via the park and ride. The location was also very convenient for access to amenities outside of the park. Overall it was a great stay and we have already recommended it to friends and family.”

“This is a mixed review for me. I love westward ho & have been coming to braddicks for roughly 20years now. However the quality is slowly decreasing. Whilst they are going further up market they are loosing what made it so great for all of us families in the first place! Rob Braddicks has also stopped providing entertainment over the pier house in the evenings which is sad for all who stay… it leaves you short for things to do everyday during the evening. Again I absolutely love the place & hold so so many dear memories with friends & family. But the prices are also getting ridiculous to stay for a week…. You can only justify spending X amount of money on a UK holiday. By the time you factor in the cost of a holiday home + fuel + food + spending money it’s just not worth it now. I have spoke to Rob about all of this & more but he unfortunately told me it won’t be changing and this is the direction he’s pushing now. I feel it’s gone from being very family orientated to money money money now. Sadly I don’t think I’ll be coming here for much longer I’ll have to find somewhere else to justify the money 😓”

“A lovely 4 night stay in a spacious dog friendly lodge with hot tub. Pleasant surroundings, in the middle of the countryside, very quiet, nice walks. Enjoyed the gym, hydro pool, steam room and sauna. Pleasant restaurant with dog friendly section, service a little slow considering how quiet it was. Lodge itself was clean, modern with an abundance of hot water…very cosy. Could do with more towels for hot tub use and a mop to dry the floor after use…it’s quite a walk to the showers. All in all a really great place, would be happy to return and recommend.”

“Nice park in a good location with easy access to Sainsburys and the bus stop at the end of the road. Fodder farm shop is right next door and well worth a visit. Facilities clean, modern and well maintained, Park wardens were great, very friendly, informative and approachable. “Half day yoga retreat. Lovely relaxing morning in a beautiful setting. We started with mint tea (fresh, not tea bags). Did some journal prompts then a lovely yoga flow. Went for a mindful walk after having some breakfast as pictured. Then restorative yoga which was amazing but let down by the cold temperature in the barn. Apparently they do have underfloor heating in there so not sure why this wasn't on. Overall I would do this again and would be lovely if you could do one with each changing season.”

“Disappointed!!! My wife I stayed at Gwel an Mor with my mum back in September this year. We was really looking forward to a nice relaxing break. Unfortunately we was very disappointed with our Scandinavian lodge which was advertised as a 5 star lodge. It certainly has the potential to be nice but our experience was sadly not a good one. Upon arrival we went to our lodge to find it was extremely dirty to the point that we had to clean the lodge again before we could relax & unpack. It certainly doesn’t live up to a 5 star rating. Our bathroom was dirty with grime around the taps & shower, the bedroom floor was dirty with dust, decking was dirty, the beds were dirty, the bath robes were dirty with stains on. Plus the pool was closed for one and half days. Despite communications with Gwel an Mor along with pictures to show the state of the lodge our concerns were never acknowledged just brushed aside and told us that each lodge goes through a strict 4 hour cleaning process. It’s sad that our stay was not a pleasant experience as we was looking for a nice lodge we can keep going back to. 😞”

“Love, love, love this site! Never had a problem with the head warden and have stayed most weekends this year! Found him to be kind and very helpful, maybe the ones complaining either don't know or understand the guidelines the campsite has to work around? We didn't at first and were quite rightly asked to check guests in at reception, it was just something we never knew about. Always been treated, and greeted very warmly by all the staff, who in my opinion due a first class job on this beautiful well kept site!”
