“Maria Bonita is ok, above of what you can expect for a pousada in Brazil. We arrived here around 3 AM and the front desk was open ( that's a good one for a pousada). As far as I know there is no parking but the street is quiet enough to find a parking spot and leave the car. The room is spacious and comfortable. One double bed, one single, big closet, in room safe, free fast reliable WiFi, big desk and flat TV. Bathroom is modern and clean. There is a nice pool overlooking the beach and towels are offered for free. Breakfast is the traditional Brazilian buffet: fruit, bread, cheese, ham, cakes, yogurt, juice coffee, tea and milk. The only thing that kept adding the fifth star is the fact that even the property is on the beach the room windows are small and facing the side of the property instead of the sea.”

The resort itself with it’s great access to the beach, the infinity pools and the wonderful garden area is truly wonderful. The architecture of the resort is also something we’ve never seen before, we fell in love straight away. The staff are super friendly, so helpful and always smiling. The restaurant serves great food, from fish to meat, all in excellent quality. Also the breakfast is superb, from fresh fruit to lovely bread, from pancakes to omelette and so much more. “This is a very sweet pousada in the heart of Serra do Cipó. Great location to go for hikes. I especially liked the litte amenities like the pool and the hammocks on the porch of every room. It was very kind that we were allowed to check out late (~5 p.m.), since the rooms were not needed for the following night.”
