“Amazing atmosphere in the mountains surrounded by a forest. We came here during the snow season and the indoor experience was relaxing and we had all we wanted with a great view. Going into the heated indoor pool and being able to go through a door in the pool to an outside part still heated but surrounded by snow was a surreal experience. The room is very cozy. A bit expensive but you can understand what your money gets you.”

“One of the most amazing camping as a cyclist that we have ever been! Not only the facilities are pristine clean but the owners of the camping were extremely friendly and welcoming. The tent area was separated from the camping vans which is a dream! The camping itself is located in the middle of a dream-like region with fruit fields under the cosy mountain ranges, at the edge of a small village. The cherry on the top of the experience was the moment when the owners walked around our area and lit candles for the evening! If every camping place would be the same, there would no longer be a need for reviews. We would like to thank the owners of the camping for making our stay pleasant and remarkable!”

“We stayed in the Gitschberg with friends (regular guests) in August 2023 and can only recommend this small hotel! Both the reception and the entire service were very warm and helpful! The quality and taste of the food was excellent! In the morning you can have your breakfast eggs prepared on request while having a nice chat. In the evening you even got a second helping if you wanted (the portions were really filling, but it tasted so good ;-)). The wellness area, especially the pool, is very nice. The massage we booked was also great! You can tell that professionals are at work! Our room was very spacious and had a fantastic view! We were very satisfied overall and felt very welcome by all employees at all times!”

“Accessible by car, is a very nice and quiet place. Even in the winter. Nearby there are a lot of trail with fantastic mountains and views. Rooms are confortable, service is very good. Prices are competitive, ideal for families. Food is very good, breakfas is good. There are huge brioches! I love the place as there is few people and you can live a confortable Alpine experience. Parking is free. You can buy lpcal cheese and butter and it ia great!!”

“One of the most beautiful locations I have ever been to! We spent two nights here with our children, aged 0, 2 and 4 years old, and had a great time. The staff were really lovely to us and the kids and showed them the stalls with animals and how they make their own butter. The accommodation is rather basic but comfortable. The shared bathrooms had just been redone and were in great shape. Although there is not much to choose from in the menu the food was good and we enjoyed the homemade bread, butter and jams for breakfast. Kids can run around the hut safely and there is much to discover in nature at walking distance. Definitely recommend it and would love to come back someday! :)”

They were keen to help us answer our questions regarding our upcoming via ferrate trip, and prepared us a great breakfast. “This year the hotel is being ran be Neilson holidays as part of a package ski holiday - hopefully something which will continue on for another couple of seasons yet. All members of staff are friendly, approachable Neilson employees and with all the hotel guests typically British holidaymakers, it makes for an extremely friendly atmosphere! The rooms are of a fantastic quality and so is the food. A semi-regular ski-bus runs from the hotel door down to the two brand new lifts at Alba, and failing that it's a short walk to the main bus route as well. I'd highly recommend this for anyone looking for a hotel near Canazei.”
